It's interesting to see that this got such poor reviews, because in my opinion this is one of the best movies ever made. Sure it's dark and eerie, but it's meant to be that way, because Kath is in a dark and eerie situation. Also the scenes of the Fleetwood sands, despite it's gloomy presence, is very beautiful. I found Shirley Henderson and Richard Armitage in particular compelling to watch. Although my brother's body was found from suicide, I can relate to losing a loved one, Kath's feelings of helplessness, depression and confusion, as well as that fear and ill feeling that went through my body, because I was still required to 'wait'. The waiting part is excruciating. *SPOILER ALERT* Furthermore, it teaches us to be cautious when venturing out to find the answer/s to a situation that could put us in danger, and especially for women who are vulnerable and not able to defend themselves. I give this 5 stars.
Wow it looks really good ! What did you shoot on? my guess would be super 16 or digital like the red 1 with a lens adapter or could it be 35mm film ???? Did it go to dvd ?
Looks great! Has it come out yet?! If not when! And am i the only one that remembers that actress from the Harry Potter films?! She played the girl ghost that lived in the bathrooms! :D
Great movie, Shirley is one of the UKs finest actors !
