Oh, no one loves the sound of rain as much as I do! When I was a child there was a a tin awning over an outside doorway located right next to my bedroom window. In the summer time when it rained at night I would hear the rain hitting the awning from the time I was born until I was 18 and we moved away. The sound of rain beating on the windows to this day is music to my ears and makes for wonderful sleeping. Thanks for sharing!
I do too. Ripped the heavy concrete tiles off and replaced them with corregated iron. Brought up in a heavy cyclone area where the roof survived umpteen really violent cyclones. The noise also covers the sound of rowdy love-making if you were so disposed. Personally…it has a ‘cathartic’ effect on me. It calms me, I can shut my eyes and remember people and things so dear to me, and the sound is almost musical. You should listen to Barbra Streisand sing “The Gentle Rain”. She nails the ‘effect’ very nicely.

Все же, когда снежная и слегка морозная погода, вся эта рождественская иллюминация выглядит особенно красиво, сказочно, нежели вот в такую сырую и промозглую.
Glencoe is a beautiful village. And I know most people prefer sunshine to rain but rain brings me a certain comfort, a relaxing vibe if that makes sense. Especially in a small place under the Christmas lights.
