I personally use the .44 in all BF games but I’m usually a recon and we think we’re cool and all if it takes forever to shoot/reload😭😭

BF4 rush maps where so unbalanced, at least the vanilla ones. BF3 was godly spectacular.
Best rush imo was bc2, Battlefield 3 was also very good in some maps. I didn't enjoy 4 rush as much

Funny enough, scout elite was actually my favorite due to it’a design and how fast you can bolt another bullet into the chamber. So if it wasn’t a one shot, just quickly ready another bullet

Yeah exactly, I am not a cod or bf fan, but recently i got cod mw and i couldnt play it more than 1 hour, however there is a magic in bf which keeps you playing and playing and playing, best ever fps

I do the same :D For me it just feels weird, when the gun is held sideways. I still equipped the iron sights when I used the thermal scope, "just in case" I want to use it

That occasional dice camo that makes every thing on the character near invisible on a thermal scope except their gun
I have it on PS4 and it helps a lot with the attack choppers, if I don't want to be seen by them I pull out my knife and prone with it.

I still have my M98B glitched from something already patched years ago and I will never remove the scope. Don't know how many people left have it, but basically I have the standard thermal scope that turns off the thermal going into variable zoom.

I still find games if conquest rush and tdm and just about every other game mode on the PS3 version of BF3 so I bet I could on 4 as well

This game needs a defib. It's by far my favorite Battlefield game.

I used to run the FLIR like this on an SKS in Hardcore. Absolutely lethal at all ranges. Two shot kill. Hardcore is the best mode. And really, all Hardcore is, is “cheat mode off”! More lethal, no kill cam giving away your killers position, no 3D spotting. Brilliant.

Back in bf4 days that poop called fortnite hadn't just changed what peaple want from games. Every new game tries to copy it, icluding bf5 that's one of the main reasons these two games are so different

I miss hardcore mode, and that was mostly due to being able to actually use the sniper from secure locations, and actually getting a kill from a distance.
I think snipers really should have the Min-Max range 1-shot factor

@@ZekeMagnum But insurgency is so unoptimised. Runs on 50 fps with crashing to 30-40 sometimes on lowest settings. While bf4 runs on solid 60 fps on max

Hardcore server, Turkish JNG-90 and the map were you fight on a island were there is storm.
I really miss the hardcore mode on BF1 and BF5.
I liked to use this kind of loadout on Zavod Night Shift, even on normal servers it was good.

I hunt snipers on hardcore if they don't use suppressors. You can still see them on the big map.

FLIR + Canted Irons was one of my favorite things to run on the 416 back in the day. Applied it to my M40 set up and it makes for some great counter-sniping

I still avidly play hardcore on Xbox One, almost daily. Some servers run a lot of good dlc maps on hardcore mode, i just cant get enough. Love to see a new BF4 gameplay pop up from Jack, gets me excited to play more tomorrow. ❤️

I mean it can be used to great effect in some parts of the game. So long as they aren’t camping on a hill somewhere and are using the FLIR/IRNV sight to benefit their team and PTFO I have no issue with that. Hell, people use FLIR all the time on the tanks and nobody seems to have an issue with that...

My fav setup is FLIR with straight pull and playing on a hardcore map. So glad you finally did a video on it!
The 2x flir is one of the BEST sights in the game. Rub it on the cs5 in hardcore. So fun.

Imagine back when thermals could see through smoke, that was peak meta, i used it with the m249 a lot.

Genuinely entertaining content. Jacks excitement, mixed with the unique, thought-out class makes for awesome action and definitely makes me want to go back to bf4 for a while.
My favorite use of thermal on BF4: HMG, bipod, smart positionning, start the lawnmower.

Steve mc Exactly. Older battlefield games had it worse cause you were able to use thermal scopes and longe range sniper scopes. At least in BF5 you are limited to close range 1x and 1.5x sights

Zavod night was the only map i used thermals. Its a shame I always struggled to find a game on it.
Really wish more people played this one.
Seeing the transport helicopters with lights on their miniguns at night was so sick on that map

Miss being able to deploy smoke and rack up kills with thermal vision. All good OP tactics eventually get nerfed.

It’s one thing to use the flir on a sniper rifle (means you have a harder time at range so that’s kinda whatever), but it’s another to use it on an LMG or something. Chances are, if you’re using an LMG in the first place, you’re just sitting podded in a hallway. You don’t need extra eyes when all you’re doing is staring at a door.
I've been using the FLIR x2 on the SRR sniper rifle for years. I've also ran canted ironsights alongside the flir.
I wish BF5 was as fun as this! ☹️

I feel like i'm watching a gameplay of myself playing BF4. Silenced sniper with 2X thermal on hardcore wrecking the hell out of the other team.
My favourite combo was an MG4 with 2x FLIR scope and a bipod. Rush to the middle of the outside section of Locker, hit prone, wrack up the bipod, and you've got that whole flank locked down. The killstreaks were insane!
This is the most satisfying gameplay i have seen in a long time! Miss this game so much

LMG with thermal scope + smoke grenade was my go to strat back in the day when it still worked. EZ kills in operation locker

The smoke IR build was a monster in metro. Most people never ran IR scopes (especially at the beginning of the round) and you could just mop up tons of kills. Prone with a supply bag at your feet and a bipod LMG...
You can't change my mind: thermal optic break every shooter it gets implemented in. Every time I fire up BF4 on an open map half the players are running around with thermal

This is why I think the older battlefield games are very flawed when it comes to the balance aspect. Freedom in a video game isn’t always great

@@Salomon_G because a laser doesn't blind an enemy that I am not looking at. If I am trying to flank all it takes is a Flir user to scan without even paying a great deal of attention and my position is known; they would normally have to pay attention, especially if I have a decent camo on and am going through vegetation.
I have 0 respect for people who use FLIR scopes, absolutely none.
There are like 6 counters to them... and they cost, your kit, nothing to equip

Man I loved using thermals. It always kicked ass on night maps or using smoke. The light was a flashlight that you could attach.
Theres a few hardcore conquest and rush servers still active on Xbox One. They're little community servers and I'll often play with the same people on the weekends. It's always good fun

I run this exact setup all the time on PS4 OP Locker Hardcore servers. But I use the M40 all the same attachments. It's so OP!
