as a chronic procrastinator who feels like they have to submit their best work at ALL TIMES and the added plus of having untreated adhd, finding the motivation to get work done is hard. im so happy i found this audio and im hoping it helps as i am a senior with only a month left of uni and about half a semesters worth of work to get done. im gonna use my comment thread as a checkin for myself to hold myself accountable🫶🏻

I’m actually in your shoes at the moment. I’ve been putting off my schoolwork for many weeks and I know it’s bad, but I just could not for the life of me stop procrastinating and get it done. It helped knowing someone else was feeling the same way I am! Thanks for making this, it was encouraging and helped me catch up with work. :)

Rainy, this is exactly what I needed! I've procrastinated on one of my typed assignments for weeks, and having you "here" with me typing away, giving progress reports is so encouraging. The best thing, though, is that I'm talking with my father, too, giving him updates like you're giving me; when he told me to get back to work and I said "Okay," you said "Okay" about a second after! It felt like we were actually offering each-other support for a minute. That gave me a massive boost of energy and motivation. Thank you, Rainy~

I work a phone job and I've been having a hard time with dealing with end of the day blues. When I had this playing and realized I needed to call someone,I paused my phone and put my hand up saying "Shhh stop typing for a sec, gotta make a call" and cracked myself up. Thank you for this, its already a big help and I'm only five minutes in 💚

I've been having a tough time getting work done, for my classes, as well as for other projects I've been working on. My brain space hasn't been so good and I've had a really tough time focusing in general due to how chaotic everything feels just, all the time.
This has really helped me to work on... admittedly overdue assignments, that I just.. haven't been able to focus on.
Thank you so much for this, it has helped me so, so much

GOOD FOR YOU!!! I loved this audio. I didn’t have anything to accomplish, so I had this playing in the background while I chilled out. Felt like I was sharing space with a friend.
I’ll probably listen to it as I’m going to sleep as well because I’m a sucker for typing and quiet breathing sounds.
One trick I like to do when I’m putting something off is to “do it for Future Me”. I’ll say to myself at say 11am, “4pm me will be so happy I did this now. She’s going to be so irritated if she has to do it at 4pm.” And when 4pm rolls around and the task had been done earlier, I thank 11am me. :)
As a perpetual “get it done” person, I support your process. You know when to put in a different kind of energy. Today’s task just didn’t need it.
I’m so happy you set yourself up for success by making a video to support yourself. And we get to benefit from it!

I'm not sure if you'll see this or not, but I have been a silent listener (as well as subscriber) for quite a little while and thought that, this time, I'd drop a comment to break a little of the major shyness. I discovered you months ago (probably almost a year now) and absolutely love your audios (still have a ways to get through all of them, though)! They are certainly very helpful in terms of feeling good, and I enjoy and love hearing your voice. It's very soothing, calming, and I totally get that gentleness, nurturing, and sweetness vibe from it as well. Also, the Australian accent is a MAJOR plus! Lol... What can I say? I'm a huge sucker for Australian accents (one of my most favorite accents!) I recently listened to all four of your Q&A audios and I LOVED your answers to certain questions that were asked! You sound like a very lovely person and I'm happy that you were able to share a part of yourself, although you didn't have to!
For this specific audio, I had stumbled upon it for a couple of major reasons: 1. I thought that this would be good to listen to because I have a pretty important license exam coming up that I just booked recently for November, annnnnnnnnd I have yet to study for it.... I figured that this audio would help me in getting some motivation! 2. YES, the sound of typing is definitely an ASMR trigger for me (my ultimate favorite trigger!) and I DEFINITELY wanted to feel relaxed at the same time! You are really great at what you do, and I hope all has been well with you. I understand that you have been on a hiatus due to taking care of your mental health (if I recall reading about it), and I really do *HOPE* that all is well on your end. Please continue taking good care of yourself. Regardless if you're no longer uploading any more audios, I'm still glad I was able to discover you and be able to listen to your work! Take care and thank you kindly for creating audios to help others!
    💖💖💖

    Dear rainy
Im an engineering student and uni has been really really hard lately especially with my paralyzing perfectionism. My perfectionism made me lose alot of things and it deteriorated my mental and physical health im so harsh on myself and put crazy standards that i just end up not doing anything. But you make me feel like its okay to not do well i just have to get it done , its okay if it not perfect i just need to do it. Perfect is the enemy of done, i listen to this video more than twice a day , and it helped me so many times. Especially during exam season. Thank you so much 🌸💞 please never stop making videos

When he talked about counseling at 14:20 I almost fell off my office chair.
I'm at university, studying to become a teacher. We study education, obviously we study the subjects we'll teach later and we have to choose another subject like vocational guiding, health promotion etc. I chose counseling as my subject because I want to be able to help my students with difficult situations in their life that don't have anything to do with the school subjects.
I'm writing an excerpt about three different ways of consulting and their ethical dimensions while listening to this audio. Low and behold, when he said "counseling" I felt like there was a glitch in the matrix :'D

Gonna push till the end and honestly rewatch this for my next assignments. I feel more productice when uh.. “other people are working around me”. Really appreciating this during this time where its hard to focus because we’re at home - surrounded by distractions. I had to post another comment appreciating this video!! I haven't made much progress in the way of my work in the last week due to writer's block. I finally decided to sit down with it and finish one of my reviews and this just gave me so much energy and drive to get my work done. I couldn't help but laugh at your comments because they gave me flashbacks of my college days as a Music Ed student (really don't know how I survived that). And I completely agree with you on celebrating each sentence, each paragraph written in your report! I wish I had a dime for every analysis or research paper I had to write. I would be happy with a few sentences and a minor headache after I sat down with a score. Gotta get it done one step at a time! Way to press on!

Proud of you, well done! Avoidance and procrastination are typically about anxiety and fear of failure, it's good to be able to challenge those thoughts and try just doing a little bit, seeing that it's actually not as bad as you thought. And yeah, I took a typing test years ago and it said my speed was 66 words per minute, adjusted for errors, but I imagine I've gotten faster since then.

Hi Rainy, I hope you're doing well. I know that quarantine is hard and there's a lot of stress COVID besides regular stresses like school. I know you're working hard, doing what you can and I hope you are able to take care of yourself during this time. Thank you so much for all your support but I hope you also get the support you need. Take care and be safe. :)

I have a presentation later today and we were supposed to present these a long time ago but we didn’t. I keep procrastinating this assignment and can’t seem to get it done. It was supposed to be done almost a month ago. I’m just going to try and get it done before 3rd block today so I can present it good. He said I still have to present but only in front of 3-4 people aka my friends which helps. :)

I don't know what is wrong with my phone and this video but it won't play it through and keeps pausing it when it's not doing that to other videos🤨 however, I thank you for this because it finally got me to "get off my butt" and do my own erkm I had been putting off. Thanks 😁 BTW this was one of my most hated assignments in grad school.

Hm, I'm not sure. Maybe because it's a long audio and your internet might be throttled, is it buffering? I dunno.

I appreciate the sentiment, but you're not in love with me. Perhaps infatuated, but not in love.

Unrelated: Can we get a jealous boyfriend audio?

    • @rainydayaudios7754
      @rainydayaudios7754  4 года назад +2

Nope! If I did a jealousy thing it'd be a healthy modelling of how to handle jealousy and communicate properly in a healthy relationship.
