Im not even going to be biased but aside from the rain and clouds, the definitive shits on the modded version. Most of the time the modded version just looks like a cheap android game.
I think you can make a case for either one. The water, clouds, and weather effect look fantastic on the mod, many times better than the remaster. The reflections are also impressive, but they're probably quite expensive even if they are only screen space and not raytraced. The roads in the rain are also very excessive in their reflectivity, like your average GTA V mod. The colors look quite muted in the mod as well compared to the remaster, and also appear way too dark in the new cloudy weather. The saturation is definitely a matter of taste and the remaster's dark lighting is very problematic as well, but I find myself preferring Rockstar's version. The fog is also way to harsh for my liking, but I get that most GTA fans disagree. I would like it to be a bit more gradual than it is now and show a farther area. As it is now it is still very obvious that it is there for culling purposes instead of looking more natural. The motion blur seems way better in the remaster, even if it is less immersive, the mod's is very impractical in every way in addition to the janky wobbling effect. My opinion is that Definitive Edition is much more playable and authentic, but the mod is more impressive, especially in video form.
Nah these arent the best mods. Skygfx would make you eat your words. Its literally a mod that adds that amazing orange hue, and the sun beaming making it feel like California.
Now if the mod can be ported to the Definitive Edition, we'll get the best of both worlds. Rockstar Games could not have reached the height at which they're now without the modding community. The modding community is the one which keeps the games alive. Still glad we got what we got. DE runs stable and is pretty much more polished. Also games doesn’t always have to look that ultra insanely good and realistic. That’s just the vision of people who aren’t even older than the games itself.
DE is defiantly better than nothing but IMO they ruined the graphical consistency and still under delivered compared to most other remakes that come out at full price or even less these days
Rockstar Games could not have reached the height at which they're now without the modding community. The modding community is the one which keeps the games alive. Sadly they don't know how to respect their true fans (modding community). Instead of respecting them they keep on suing them for pointless reasons.
Yes :(
@@BlackPot Modders know how to keep up classics to its position , because they are fans just like us, and fans know the true potential of their games, they work because they want other people to respect these classics in return of no money. Rockstar's motive is just to keep company alive and make profit, they don't care about this love for classic, they cared about classics in early years because according to that time it was fetching good reputation, for them at that time they want to change gaming industry, but now they want to just work according to this society, they only see profit and not love.
Guys, if you noticed, I couldn't see any shadows in graphics mode, that's a shortcoming.
What's special things coming this year Pot? Happy New Year btw! 🎉
Happy New year!!
Even with the updates, gta trilogy:de still looks unrealistic and cartoony. You can even see the big difference of the art styles of the original and de
One thing I can say, GS Games did a way better job with the trees than the modder did.
Happy new year bro
Happy new year!!
For me the problem with mods Is that they arent as accessible, for the remastered You Just buy It and It Is done, with mods there are many bugs, crashes and various other things, also It Is only on pc
@@milkyman6637 a price to pay to not break keyboards While modding, i am preetty dumb so it was hard for me, i didn't even get a good result lol, i am gonna Stick to de
@@criskii mannn I got so tired of crashes . One of the main thing I like about the de. No matter what I couldn’t play the original for longer than 30 minutes without some kinda crash.
There is a new update were you can enable fog in the game its called "ground haze"
Does not do anything for clouds.
@@blackstallion7927 did i ask
I just said there was an update that you can enable fog
Flying is trash without clouds.

Bro ngl these clouds on the original modded gta sa are looking absolutely beautiful!
Happy New year Blackpot
Happy new year!!
They did add height haze, you should have turned it on
2:50 DE is better
Happy new year brother
Happy new year!!
I'm not saying the modder isint skilled or anything it takes a insane amount of effort and most importantly dedication to make something like this , but optimising that for consumer needs is not easy without a compromise in visual quality( altleast currently). And companies will aim at biggest market they can get and most of us have average PC. That's why the game companies arent making hyper realistic games even though engines like unreal can handle them even though it takes much more dollars to make one it's of no use ony like few can run them so only few will buy them . I hope we will get it in the future as technology like dlss are improving
I would pay good money to see a Grand Theft Auto game developed by modders. See how well they do compared to Shitstar
they can actually make one
just like modders made S.T.A.L.K.E.R Anomaly
Shitstar, hahahhahaaahhahahahhahahh i'm crying out of laughter man thank you so much i haven't laughed like this in years
@dushyant Singh u really don't know what's going on in the AAA gaming industry if u are defending rockstar.. Look at gta and red dead online... Their current actions on gta trilogy and the actions on online shows how much they care... Hell they even put a lawsuit on map modders.. How could u be defending them?
@@awesomemagic198 Exactly, ever since GTA Online released they've milked it dry and anything else released after that was probably or most likely all for the money.
0:43 it's not looking better lol
Happy new year blackpot.. 40 mins more, 😊
Happy new year!!
The Cheetah Look Sick As Hell, I Might Play The Definive Edition Just To Drive Around My Favorite Vehicle.
Fans are making games more advanced than original creators.....
Btw Happy New Year🎉🎉
Happy new year!!
Bro i thought they fixed the fog issues.
They fixed the fog you just have to enable it in the settings
I'm sorry but the fast horns on cars, did they actually do a 1 to 1 recreation of that because they weren't aware that it was a bug or it's an homage to the og (buggy mind you) pc version?
Happy new year to all
Also nice video
Happy new year!!
ok, now put mods that visually improve the trilogy definitive edition.
And use its most recent version because this comparison is bad. AND ALL TO THE MAXIMUM (graphic settings)
i'll do it after some time...let's give modders some time to bring some awesome mods on the definitive edition
De is ofc better then the modded original (because it has high res textures and better reflections and much more) But no one wants to agree because it had some problems which literally got fixed.
And this guy is using the older version of de, because the draw distance was fixed and fog was added In the newer version.
i was using the newer version...but forgot to turn on the ground haze. my bad
@@BlackPot ahhhh lol
@@adityavidyarthi1635 you are absolutely correct freind making game oversaturated doesn't mean its better
Everything is excellent in mod the only thing I didn't like is motion its better in original 🤗
Great work bro 👏

I think DE is good. I mean yea the mod is more realistic but for a modern GTA mobile game in UE4, DE looks infinitely better than the original trilogy on mobile.
Remember everyone, DE is using the mobile framework hence it’s made for mobile first and consoles second(but DE still could’ve been better for mobile too as even DE is weak vs actual PS4 games like Alien isolation, Xcom 2 or Divinity 2 mobile has)
Happy New Year
