This is the Maestro himself, AR Rahman! No competition even after 25 years! He is the Perfect Master of blending the western instruments with Indian instruments, using percussion instruments with fusion of Rhythm and Melody! Hats off!

Speaking of popularity - Twitter: Zimmer has about 250k followers vs. Rahman has 22 Mn followers. I imagine IG numbers will be similar. Again, unlike Rahman, Zimmer is not a vocal artist.

Not only Australians but we the Indians are also lucky.......last time Rahman sir performed in India was at Kolkata.....14th november,2009,at saltlake stadium,in front of crowd of 90,000 music mad people.....musam and escape was performed there live.....I was present in the concert.....really it was a never forgetting heavenly experience
