It's on my bucket list! Someone on my mom's side was kept in the hospital ward, but I don't remember what it for or who it was - think it might have been my greata great grandmother when she returned from a visit home to Austria Absolutely amazing idea to turn the individual illness wards (and that amazes me, that each contagious disease had their own ward) in to educational wings for each illness - and a dield trip to it should be required for all the NYC medical schools
It was such an incredible visit! If you're looking for family history, they have a whole section of the museum dedicated to finding your ancestors who came through. You should check it out when you go!
The Hard Hat Tour was AMAZING! And I thank you for showing me more of it all over again! I'm so excited to see more, all over again when I can get there next! I too have been FASCINATED by Ellis Island for YEARS! And was SOOO excited to go!
I'd go back in a heartbeat!!! It seems that the hard hat tour is constantly changing based on what's safe/available, so I'd definitely do that again, too. I want to see it all! Thanks so much watching, and we hope you enjoyed it!

Yes, there is a cafe! We ate there during our visit and really enjoyed it.
I went to the statue of liberty but regret not going to Ellis island but definitely next time lt looks amazing
