I have an 01 Suburban 2500 that I want to convert to the HD front end. I have all the parts required with one exception. My frame looks different than yours. Front bumper mounts look different. I'm stuck!
I did mine alot different. I cut the whole bumper bracket off of the frame rail and lowered them and rewelded to keep the top hole and bottom hole and everything the same as oem just lower. That works too tho the way u did it. Looks good

For a Yukon you can use the hood but you're gonna have to shave the corners to match your headlights. If you want the hd conversation you'll definitely have to change everything
Do I need a bumper cap for it to work? I don’t want to pay some one to weld it because I’m going to start welding school soon so I just want to know if I can rock it with out the cap at the moment?

I have one more question, are the good liners interchangeable? 1500 to 2500 HD hood? 1500 hood insulators are the only things I can find at the junk yard? And if they’re not where can I order one for the 2500 that’s not the dealer. I haven’t been able to find anything on EBay or Amazon.
Where did you buy the HD stuff, are they OEM or aftermarket, I have the same model of truck and I want to turn it into an HD but im no sure if i can trust after market products or do I search for OEM parts

Alex Perkins there was at first but I fixed them. If you make sure everything is correct you shouldn’t have any gaps. My bumper cap is off a used truck so it had some flaws already.

They are quick connect clips
So you don’t have the quater turn Phillips head that you turn a quater if the way and just pull out?

What about the other bumper brackets? The outer brackets and the bottom bumper bolts? Did you have to extend those down 1.5”?

What about your other bumper mounts,? Did you get to rebolt them?
I just undid a bolt on each side and bent them up then put the bolt back on

Has to be 99/02. The newer hd won't fit and it's more squared off

I got mine off of a 2500hd parts truck. You can trust aftermarket but may be more worn to get it to fit correctly.

Well I cut off 1.5 inches on the bumper brackets. And cut the radiator subframe untill it fit

No since the bumper stays in the same low spot with regualr bumper mounts, body is spaced away from bumper so it’s vice versa with the cutting
