Very beautiful selections of red uprights that you can’t lose with anyone of these you choose from🤩🔥👌🏻. Another awesome episode and thank you Mr.Maple family for sharing with us all👌🏻. #japanesemaples❤️🍁🔥!
Got a skeeter's broom (similar to twombly's RS i think) upright, not to wide, small red leaves. You tempt me now with TRS since i have small garden and this one is really not wide. Though i think i want one with 'bigger' red leave, so maybe Fireglow or rhode island red, but decision is not final yet. Also got a takao, bit scared for it growing like crazy, but got it in an moment i couldnt resist.
@@MrMapleShow Some get 3-5 meter big and the stem seems to quickly get thick, in my 11*5.5 meter garden i think Rhode Island red is safer bit unless it has downsides i don't know.
Hi Guys, great clip. Found you with searching about Twombleys red maples. I live in Australia but my location can go down to negative 10 in winter. I'm looking for an upright 1m to 2m maple that has bright red leaves. Do any exist? Or am I better off getting a Twombley and pruning it to that height of 2m annually? Thanks 😊
@@MrMapleShow thank you for responding! 😊 I can't see that one here but have found one called Shaina that looks good height wise. Will keep researching (I never knew there were so many types!)
Hey Matt and Tim, thank you for your YT channel, very helpful. Two things here, for me the Twombly that I purchased is as wide as tall (over 6 ft) and I love it that way. I did see the narrow ones but for me the form was much more interesting and pleasing being voluptuous. I do have a question, I have many many 75 year old pines al around the compound and there is a spot where there is not much sun but it is begging for a JM. I know where I can get a wonderful large Beni Otake, my other choice is a 15 gal Orange Flame. My thinking is thee won't be enough sun. I know of some large beauty Seiryu that would be good but I already have 3 of them, they are one of my favorite. So, do you think the Beni Otake or Orange Flame would be better or better to choose something else for placement that doesn't have a lot sun?
Exactly the information I was looking for. Your RUclips videos are awesome. Thanks!

Fireglow is a great choice

Hefner's Red is beautiful, his nursery is 10 minutes from me.

Welcome aboard! I don’t know what is available in your country try but Rhode Island Red is a great smaller red form

Hi, how far should the twombleys red sentinels be planted from a house/foundation?
I would recommend 5-6ft for the best shape. Roots should not be a problem
@@MrMapleShow thanks, I'm new to planting anything- so the center of the plant should be about 5ft away?
@@dsnintendo8932 that should be great spacing for this narrow selection
@@MrMapleShow thank you appreciate it!
Hi guys with the red maples in these videos what size pots are these in mainly
10 gallon in this video

They do great as under story plants but in heavy shade Beni otake will green up some
I see 'Twombly's Red Sentinel' got dat funky middle lobe too like Shaina.
Is it a witches broom from Shaina?
Shaina is also a broom. That middle lobe trait is typical for brooms. TRS is from a red upright
Buen video
