I just bought a 1997 2.5 rs that has an ej20 turbo swapped in. I am not a "Subaru guy" but a deal came to me that I couldn't pass up. So here I am on RUclips looking at videos of these cars and I come across yours.. this one, and man I just have to say that you are very talented at making videos. I dont know what you do for work, but that could definitely be it.
Thank you that really means a lot!! Stoked you got a killer deal on one with a swap already done to it that sounds super sick. To answer your question, unfortunately I don't make videos for work, it's just a hobby currently. I am a Diesel Technician by day, but would really love to pursue video as it is my passion. Thanks again!!!
Good video man👍 I was planning on cutting my front bumper beam if I hadn’t found a cheap local 2.5rs one. “SubieStage” has cheaper jdm ones if anyone else was wanting cheaper options as well. I got a rear bumper beam from them and was happy with their work
I’ve heard really good things about the JDM beams besides they’re more fragile than the USDM. Not sure how true that is though, but either way it would be a great route to get the bumper swap done! Thanks for the informative comment and I’m glad you enjoyed the video man! and the parts too 😉
It never hurts to check your local junkyards to see if you can get lucky for cheap, otherwise I would join some of the GC8/GF8 owners groups on Facebook or the buy/sell gc parts groups on Facebook. They are always listing sought after OEM body pieces, but most of the time you’ll have to pay for shipping. I would try to stick to OEM pieces and nothing that’s aftermarket, but “OEM look” it’ll save you a lot of time and headaches 😁 hopefully this helps! Any other questions feel free to ask 👍
I can’t 100% guarantee fitment for your wagon, but I would imagine it’s the exact same! If you pull off your bumper and the beam looks the same as mine did in the video I’d say it would work out perfectly! Hopefully this helps 🤙
That would be pretty sweet, but he would need piping, a reservoir, and the wiring. It would probably be a few hundred dollars. @Cyrus contact Peter Bell on Facebook if you do decide to hook them up though. I’m fairly certain he still has the components
I would definitely love to get them functional sometime in the future but for now they’ll be just for looks until I get the body restoration and modifications completed with paint! Then no doubt they will be hooked up 🤙
Thanks for watching!!! Let me know what you think of the cut bumper beam method for the GC platform!👇
Can’t wait to see the final paint color! 😩 Great video.
Thanks! 🙏

@@CyrusPischel well man, you definitely have a talent for videography. If you can make a way to do that professionally, go for it.
By far the best video so far more to come for TEAM SHOTO
I appreciate it bro for sure 👍
Sweet job man, got a 98 OBS recently and wanted to see all my options for mods. Subbed! 🔥👊
That's really helpful thanks for the great vid. Hope to see your car all one colour soon 😂

I’m glad you enjoyed!! Good luck with your project and if you have any questions along the way just let me know! 👊
Thanks bro, this video was actually helpful! I plan to keep my L bumper, but I wanted to lower the weight of the beam. 🤟
This will 100% lower the weight for you! And if you ever want to swap eventually you’ll already be ready👍 glad you enjoyed!!!
This is sick dude.SUBBED
Thank you!!! 😁

I have a 97 Impreza L I’m tryna do some things to, where should I look to get bumpers, side skirts, just body parts in general?

so clean
Right on manny thanks! 🤙
I got a 95' Impreza wagon would a 2.5 front bumper fit onto it? with cutting the crossbeam of-course.

Did it end up fitting? I’m on the same boat as you
Are you planning to hookup those headlight sprayers?

Ryan Z I definitely will hit him up once I get closer to that point! I’d love to have them functional 👍
Sorry but useless video! Show step by step screw by screw instead of talking against white wall!🙀
Sorry that you feel that way, but I appreciate the feedback! I will definitely be keeping that in mind moving forward. Thanks! 👍
