  • Here is a little excerpt on Pushya from my Nakshatra course that is currently ongoing. Pushya was originally called "Tishya" in Vedic times. This is just the part of a class on Pushya that is over an hour long, so please understand that you will get the most out of it by taking the whole class, and that this is just one little amsa of what I have to share on Pushya.
This nakshatra course is very in depth, with more than one hour spent on each nakshatra and with many examples. The examples I use are not just in natal astrology as we normally see, but in prashna and mundane astrology as well. In fact, I am finding that Nakshatras seem to be more observable in mundane and prashna events, as I show in this course. This was the original use of Nakshatras too, for muhurta purposes. Muhurta is the Vedic tradition of finding the most lucky times to undertake an event. Pushya is one of the best stars for almost all things in jyotish, and as we explain here, it was even considered a lucky star in other cultures.

I learned yoga in the kriya yoga tradition of Lahiri Mahashaya and Yogananda, which lead me to learn jyotish. If you would like to learn to meditate or take your meditations further with private Kriya yoga lessons just write to me at corey@eyeoftheveda.com. These training sessions are done in person or via zoom conference and are recorded.
