Jeep Wrangler TJ - "Barricade Trail Force HD Front Bumper" - Installation

- In this video I installed my new Barricade bumper on my 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ. The installation of the new bumper was super easy. The stock front bumper was a major pain to take off. The bottom two torx bolts were rusted on and not coming off very easy. I worked on the passenger's side bolt for close to 2 hours. That's my luck though. I'm sure everyone else would have this done in 10 minutes.
I appreciate you watching! Hope you enjoyed the video! Don't forget to comment and subscribe!!!

Good job man. Keep them coming.
Looks like a nice upgrade for the Jeep! Nice work!
Thanks! More work than necessary but that's how I roll!
@@jones_edition That's pretty much how all my projects go, :D.
@@AllThingsOverlanding That makes me feel better that I'm not a complete screw up. Haha
That’s is an awesome bumper! Great job
Thanks bro! Other than that one bolt, it wasn't too bad to put on.
Good job man turned out really nice
Thanks! It needed a new look for the front end. Good bye old chrome lights and stock bumper
looks great, I have the same luck whenever I work on the Tahoe.
Every single time!!! I can't have one project go the way it should. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Haha
Looks really good.
Thanks!!!
Amen brother it took me a whole day to remove the bumper
Word! There is always something wrong. Lol
I was there just yesterday on those same exact two bottom bolts. And yes, the suckage of it was pretty bad.. I ended up drilling them out.
Horrible isn't it! Lol
My bottom bolts snapped off perfectly. 😂😂
Haha nice
So it's been a couple years now since you installed the bumper and wench. How has it held up to the usage?
I have since sold the TJ and got a JK. It better for my kids to get in and out of. I wish I had a better update to tell you. I really liked that bumper and winch. I wish I at least had the winch on my JK.
@@jones_edition - Kids are funny that way. Lol... good luck and thanks for the information and getting back with me.
@jlathem56 I definitely missed the TJ that was a good T. J. I'm now in a 2013 Rubicon, JK I put a rack on top for my rooftop tent. And it's been doing really good for me. 6 speed!
@@jlathem56 Sorry for the slow response. I needed a break from youtube after my Grandpa passed away.
what size is that torX on the underside?
Honestly I don't remember, but it's probably a 45 or 50. That's just me guessing now. Sorry.
How is it working out now ? Any rust issues or anything ?
Hey thanks for your comment. I have since sold the jeep. Sorry. It was holding up pretty well. I kept a close eye on it tho. Any chip I would immediately paint with a bed liner spray. It's good. Not the best option but good for the budget.
