I have never done this stitch, but I will be trying it! So lovely, and Saint Catherine died on the wheel refusing to denounce Jesus. I love that it’s got such a sixties vibe to it, but isn’t a blocky granny square.

Hi Chandi. I saw this pattern this morning and just had to try out the stitch. I had some cotton yarn in blue and red, so I started crocheting with strips in red and blue just to get a feel for the wheel pattern. Once you get going, it moves along smoothly, but I would love to win the four colours in the yarn you have selected as they go together so well. Whoever the lucky winner is, I’m sure this top will be an item that is worn often. Thank you for your free pattern Fridays and your matching instructional videos explaining how the stitches are made. Love your site.

Never seen this stitch until today but i think it's lovely! I think the colors give a nice retro/classic look to the top. Thank you for sharing❤ Going to make this very soon 😊
