    We can't forget the biggest criminal here, the creator of the game! They let all these criminals in here and didn't even allow Waluigi, legalized human vs pokemon combat, and let Ness and Lucas have PK Fire, yeah, those are war crimes alright!

    Snake works for the US government most of the time. I don't remember if he was working with the government in MGS2, but the Shadow Moses incident in MGS1 and I believe what was going on in MGS4 were legal. Don't know about the pre-Solid games though. And obviously, the Snake in 3 Snake Eater, Peacewalker, and the MGS5 games were different people: Big Boss and Venom Snake. Solid can't be punished for their sins.

      @espurrseyes42 Pre_Solid games, Snake works with Foxhound, and so does work for the government.

  • @Waylon05

    Snake technically didn't commit that many crimes since he was ordered to do it by Foxhound, which is a part of the government. We don't know who he works for in mgs4, but in that timeframe, the games are completely legal. Military companies are so legal that different countries will hire them. The only one that is shaky is mgs2.
    By your rules, he is only doing crimes in mgs2, but it's still shaky if he did any of them due to what anti -organization he was a part of during that game.

    I kinda agree with several of these, but I think Fox is in a gray area due to the legality of his situation.
    While Fox does offer a Mercenary Group for hire; it's made clear that Star Fox won't just take any job that some Random Shady guy asks them to do. They have a set of ground rules, to ensure they aren't just blowing things up for a quick buck (unlike a group like say; Star Wolf who most certainly would count as Space Pirates, as they regularly hire thugs to watch over their base and raid places for riches; plus they are happy doing dirty deeds for a paycheck).
    Most of the actions Fox and the gang do in the Star Fox games are authorized by General Pepper, of the Cornerian Army; who authorizes them and hires them to do battle for the Cornerian Army amidst warfare against Venom and Andross's attempt to invade the Lylat System. Technically, this means Star Fox is permitted to take action against the invading forces, and thus us authorized to use whatever force they deem necessary within' legal boundaries of Cornerian Warefare. And given the fact that Andross engages them with Bio Weapons, destructive Missiles and experimental Autonomy; it's safe to say General Pepper is giving them plenty of Authorization to avoid a catastrophe.
    In addition, Star Fox: Adventures shows that there are rules that while Fox doesn't agree with, he still has to operate under. When he arrives on Dinosaur Planet; it's revealed that he's not authorized to use his Blaster due to the fact that it would endanger the ecological state of the planet. So they do have ground rules set in place to ensure they aren't just a team of guns who go in and blow things up to get paid. They do have regulations and violating them could cost them money, or label them as wanted terrorists. It's a fine line to balance I'm sure.

    Samus is more questionable, as some of the Metroid games do involve her doing stuff on her own. Metroid Prime 1 starts because she picks up a Pirate distress signal, leading to the Frigate Orpheon crash and her destroying the Impact Crater on Tallon IV.
    Meanwhile, she's hired by the GF in Primes 2 and 3 and Hunters to deal with those events (she was sent to Aether to investigate a GF fleet disappearance, but got caught up in the Ing War after being stranded there and exploring around), and Metroid 2 was another GF job that, after its resolution, leads into Super Metroid, where she turns around to track down the stolen Baby Metroid after the station she handed it off to got attacked by Ridley.
    Then you have the sticky situation that is Other M, another distress signal intercept that leads to her working with Adam's team under his orders. She engages some gear without his authorization (because it was either picked up mid mission or he wasn't around when she needed something), there's a mole on the team working for GF higher ups to eliminate everyone on the station, and after Adam dies, higher ups step in to take over, only for Anthony to step in as next in command to Adam.
    Then there's Fusion, where she turns off Level 4 restrictions (red doors) without orders to do so, and while that can be defended by her being stuck somewhere after dealing with Nightmare, there's no excuse for her going into the Restricted Zone in Sector 6 where the Metroid Breeding Lab was on top of later attempting to destroy the station against the GF's wishes, ultimately taking it and SR388 down in order to completely eradicate the X. That being said, she doesn't seem to have gotten in trouble for this, as the GF would hire her in Dread to investigate the EMMI communication loss and the X siting they were looking into on ZDR, though you could argue not making an enemy out of Samus Aran, seemingly the strongest creature in the verse with Metroid DNA in her that makes her immune to X parasites, was in their best interest, and that's why they let the Fusion incident slide and hired her for ZDR.

    DK currently is not the same one from the original arcade game, that's Cranky, but i think he still did kidnap Pauline or someone else in a different game later on so the kidnapping charge may still apply

    I'm not convinced on some of these. First off, Mario collects coins, sure, but calling them theft and vandalism and a CRIME means you need to tell me who owns the coins and the locations. If he's just picking up coins off the ground, or collecting them as spoils of a war that Bowser started, it's not theft.
    Fox is a mercenary working for the government. That's not illegal. You still need to prove that his crimes are crimes and not legitimate military acts in a defensive war. He's just a government contractor.
    As far as Joker changing people's hearts... show me in the law where that's illegal.

    Steve has *not* canonically committed crime. No individual player's playthrough is canon. And the intended progression does definitely not include crimes. Killing dangerous supernatural creatures isn't, and never will be, against the law.

    • @elplaceholder
      @elplaceholder 11 дней назад

      He would still be charged with animal cruelty for killing the ender dragon, and possibly whatever sentence there is for tresspasing and looting and archaeological digsite(the abandoned stronghold and nether fortresses), since you have to go to the stronghold to go to the end, im pretty sure that must be illegal

    • @ehx3419
      @ehx3419 11 дней назад

      @elplaceholder OK, true on that last one. Pretty sure the Ender Dragon qualifies as a supernatural creature rather than as an animal though. Then again, according to my version of the lore, the Holy Dragon's consciousness is still inside of it, so I guess that leads to an age-old dilemma - if someone asks to be killed if they get possessed by a demon, and then it happens, does that qualify as the crime of consented homicide?

    • @elplaceholder
      @elplaceholder 11 дней назад +1

      @ehx3419 the list isnt based on headcanons like yours, so under the law the enderdrag9n would still be an animal, not only that but its the ONLY ONE, so you could make an argument for the enderdragon being an endangered species, making the crime even worse

    • @ehx3419
      @ehx3419 11 дней назад

      @elplaceholder Good point. I guess the "animal vs magical creation" is something the courtroom would argue over for days, with the accusing lawyer and Steve's attorney presenting heaps of evidence for their respective standpoint. They might even come to the conclusion that it's unknown whether the Ender Dragon is an animal or created by magic, putting the case on hold indefinitely.

    Nearly every single person in the game is a criminal. The only ones who aren't are ROB and the Animal Crossing characters.
