I have a huge collection of the bionic woman-dolls, clothes and shoes. I knew that eye color was a distinguishing difference but didn't know the order. I have blues, browns and greenish hazel. Thanks so much for video. Looking to wash dolls hair, style, redo arm rolls and sell. So I am looking through lots of videos.
As I have done with other toys in my collection, I completed my Mission Purse Bionic Woman, little by little with several Ebay auctions. I found everything- the purse, the accessories, the original box, and even the paper items like the instructions and the mini catalog. I've been doing the same with her enemy, the Fembot, and I have a nearly complete one with the original box, which took years to find. I've also done that with Stretch Armstrong.
Really nice detailed info! Didn't know about the eye color. I like the second first version the best. I think it looks more like Lindsay. I never had the second version....guess I thought it was too girly with all the purse accessories-ha
Kenner was aiming the Bionic Woman figure for girls for sure with the second issue. Lindsay says that the first issue was modeled after Farah Majors, hense the blue eyes. Thanks for your support.
Hello, I would like to correct an error voiced in this presentation. At time index 0:26, Mr. Wild (the poster of this video) states that Lindsay Wagner's first appearance as Jaime Sommers was on the 2nd season premiere of The Six Million Dollar Man, in the episode "The Bionic Woman", in 1974. The episode title is correct. However, the broadcast date is not. That episode aired part way through the 2nd season of Six Million Dollar Man, as it were, and was not the season premiere of the show's 2nd season. A quick check of the episode list on Wikipedia (and several other online sources, as well as published works) reveals that "The Bionic Woman" (Parts 1 & 2) aired as the 19th and 20th episodes of the 2nd season: on March 16 & 23 respectively, in 1975. No ill will intended towards the author of this video. Just wanted to set the record straight. --Respectfully, A Bionic Woman Fan. I appreciate someone paying attention to my videos. Thanks for this correction to my videos statements on the air dates of "The Bionic Woman" episodes. Hope you enjoyed this video despite this fault. Hope to someday acquire a Fembot to review.
I thought Kenner produced a figure of Max the Bionic Dog "Jamie Summers Best Friend?" My son found me one on Ebay without the original box. I have been trying to figure out if he came with accessories and a booklet to see if he did anything. Can anyone help?
kenner did a dog to scale, but it was actually "butch£, a companion dog to another figure. it has stamping on its belly. a lot of traders capitolise on this by mis-selling.
How come the skin on Jaime's arm is in such mint condition? It doesn't look cracked or deteriorated at all. Also, is the first edition shorter than the revised 2nd edition? I only had the blue jumpsuit mission purse version, but always wished that they featured that outfit in the show. The closest we ever got was the black jumpsuit she wore in The Return of Bigfoot, but even that didn't have the red sandals from the mission purse figure. I think she wore running shoes for that one. I've been hoping for a Hot Toys version of this which would be far more detailed and accurate.
@@johnwild8336 I just bought 4 of the replacement skins for my collection of dolls arms. I used a grubby one to check how hard or easy to take off the arm. Pretty easy if your careful. Taking off the old glue and rubber is going to be the hard part. I saw another video a while back on how to do this. Wish me luck.
Dang, she's taller than a G.I. Joe?!? I was thinking of getting one of these but now.... Are all the versions the same height? Also it's difficult to distinguish the eye color between the two @3:35, is the first version the one on the right or left? I think the one on the left has a slightly more attractive face. Thanks
The first release has incorrect blue eye color. This was corrected in a second edition of the first release and the second release to brown eyes. The one on the left is blue color. I don't think that any correction on the face sculpt happened. Also the height of the figures are the same, except for the Lili Ledy Mexican release, which was shorter. Thanks for watching.
You're welcome. Thanks for responding. I have a couple more questions if you wouldn't mind, about the ear hole, do they all have it, and was it just an open hole, or was there an earring or something there? Thanks a lot, you have a cool channel and I have subscribed.
Sorry, my collection isn't up for sale. But keep your eyes open at consignment shops, antique stores, flea markets, eBay, and Instagram. They produced many thousands of these figures, so they are not that rare. Thanks for the offer though.
I'm glad I was a child in the 1970's
So am I. But I was a kid in the 80's too.
me too, almost passed me by for young children-doll age I mean-born in 65

Thanks Diz. More to come.

Very nice review on the Bionic Woman

@@johnwild8336 Yes I did enjoy your video. I was not aware of this variation in the BW doll released by Kenner. 😊
@@johnwild8336 Please do get around to posting a review of the Fembot doll. I would enjoy hearing from you about it.

Cool video
I have the 2nd edition also in the box
The second edition seems to be the one most often found MISP. The 1st blue eye is the most scarce. Thanks for watching.

The arm skin is a replacement. I believe that the 1st and 2nd are the same height. Thanks for watching.

LA MUJER BIÔNICA UN 45%

It wasn't the premiere of the 2nd series.
