    Little did Athos know, D'Artagnan's whole motivation to remain captain of the king's musketeer guards was to protect his own son. He did it out of the same fatherly devotion Athos felt for his dear Raoul.

Not to mention that it becomes kinda obvious over the course of the film (at least I suspected that big punchline after the first half of the film).

    Athos was the most sensible and idealistic of the four. I totally agree with him. This scene makes my blood boil.

    • @randomguy-xp7se
      @randomguy-xp7se 3 года назад +1

      Is he though? How is he a traitor? He's doing the job of a royal guard captain and obeying his terrible king which he swore an oath to do probably. He may have betrayed his friends, but treason is a bit of a stretch. Technically Athos is closer to committing it, but its not like hes directly, intentionally aiding France's enemies. Hes just on a semi-murderous rampage at the palace and doing it indirectly. I think he's just trying to be hurtful and hes got good reason to be.

    Athos était attristé de la mort de son fils. Quand quelqu'un perd un être chère, il peut être irrationnel dans ces décisions. Je me souviens dans la scène où il entre dans la cour d'Artagnan a fait tomber Athos par terre pour tenter de le raisonner. Je trouve ça triste pour Athos qu'il est perdu son fils. Moi aussi j'aurais eu une réaction similaire dans une situation semblable.

And it’s no coincidence that this “accident” happened during an election year considering the Chinese had their own agenda against Trump considering he was hard on them (with good reason).
