  • Plastic legs to support metal screws looks like a bad idea to me.

    You're absolutely right, one side of mine is completely broken and the other side split... I'm thinking of using the housing from the original pick up but not sure how it will change the sound

      The sound wouldn't be affected, i think adding a base plate to it would be best but I'd need to see what the inside is like

    I also use a dimebucker but luckily without issues so far.

    Just disassembled my guitar yesterday and one of my tabs was broken off. Not sure how or when it happened. Any idea how this pickup comes apart?

      Its a molded plastic shell so its not designed to come off from the looks of things. Without having disassembled one for a quick fix i would buy a pickup base plate and attatch it to the bottom of the pick up.
