on a 2011 Chevy cruze 1.4 turbo its not where it is on this car in this video. It's on the front side of the motor but on the passenger side. This was driving me nuts! It's over by the thermostat. Same passenger side of motor but on the front side. The intake cam sensor is on the passenger side but back side of motor....exhaust side cam sensor on front left side of motor just below the line where valve cover is. This video pissed me off because it wasn't where he showed. I have 2011 this must be a newer Cruze. These cars are junk stay away.
Thanks great video like your stuff keep it coming.... Been fixing things for a long time for me it's SAFETY! first remove all jewelry when working on anything!!! You don't want to get "Hung up" or end up with a "Nasty Shock" when you ground something out...Also you want to keep your jewelry nice!
Hi. I just got a chevy but it's got some problems, one of them it is smell of exhaust coming in the cabin when i turn the vents on and today got a little bit of smoke as well. Any ideas?
Do u have a video on the intake cam position sensor by the way thank u for showing this my wife has a 2012 chevy sonic 1.8 n it has issues with these same parts u show how to fix
Hello, I'm having issues with my cam shaft intake and exhaust. I have 2017 chevy sonic. I just replaced a year and a half ago. Now I'm having the same issues, only this time the cam intake sensor was melted. I keep getting a lift for the same issue. Changed wiring harness to the intake sensor, still having issues
Hi guys, thanks for the video. Is the chevy malibu engine architecture similar to the architecture of the chevy cruz you're showing? I have a 2008 malibu and I need to change the sensors as well. Thanks in advance!
Great tutorial on this one, I am a bit confuse of the Looks of the Intake and exaust sensors, they look the same and searching for parts, I can only see Camshaft or Intake sensor are they the same as in the Exhaust sensor?
I would like to know if there is a difference between intake camshaft position sensor and the exhaust camshaft position sensor. Also if it would cause damage to the engine if I put the exhaust camshaft position sensor on the intake camshaft or vice versa
Question will this issue cause the transmission? Solenoid code to go bad because I have a p0016. And a P0 700 When code is for the crankshaft? Position sensor and the other one is for the transmission solenoid. Where should I start?
This is ONLY the same for the 1.8l motor NON TURBO.. The 1.4L turbo, there are 2 Camshaft sensors( Intake & Exhaust) They also do require the seals for each as the leak oil out like a bad front main seal... 1.4 is easier if u ask me.
Kent Fitzsimmons ok, just went and replaced both sensors. I had them both and they are super easy to replace. Thanks to this video on how to release the plastic clips! Watch out as they look the same. Only the angle of the connector is different and the last number. One is an 8 and the other a 9. Don't mix them up, do one at a time if you do both. Cleared the codes and car runs great now. Will see if anymore codes come up.
brian keele I do not recall that. No longer have the car. It was a friends. I know the one I replaced was on top of the engine. It made the engine run smooth again.

gracias por compartir tus conocimientos, he aprendido bastante y me has ahorrado dinero en mecánicos por algo tal fácil de reparar.

How do you replace the crankshaft position sensor
Excellent video, but does the INTAKE and EXHAUST look exactly the same??
Same, I've been wondering...
The orientation is different and the angle of the wire connection is different on each.
Do u have a video on the intake cam position sensor by the way thank u for showing this my wife has a 2012 chevy sonic 1.8 n it has issues with these same parts u show how to fix
Do you guys have a video of replacing a crankshaft position sensor ?
I'm trying to what that black unit is on front of motor by camshaft sensor. My motor is missing it
I have a 2011 Chevy Aveo. Trying to fix the camshaft position sensor for the exhaust
I purchased vvt solenoid hoping maybe that might be the culprit (advice from auto parts employee), later today when i replace ill update you.
I thought this was the intake camshaft positioning sensor?? So I know that there are two..... are they the same??

Is the camshaft actuator and camshaft sensor the same or different on a 2014 1.4 turbo
P013 p014 p2091
I change sensorbut still have engine light and showed in check code for exhaust camshaft even after reset
I’m also dealing with this. About to pull the valve cover to look over the exhaust cam.
So you won't need to disconnect the negative side of the battery?
Did this sensor create code p0011

When replacing both intake and exhaust CPS, do you have to recalibrate it or reset the ecu?
Do you have to do a relearn after swapping these out?
Does anyone know about the 2016 intake and exhaust sensor replacement
For 2026 Chevy Cruze lt
Where is the crankshaft positioning sensor at????

FreakyChumy same question here lol
No not the same.

I wish these guys would respond. I have the same question.
There is a difference its in bolt location in the part the parts do not interchange the plugs are different and can not get mixed up
Did anyone get an answer?
@@adeum9i the parts do not interchange.. there is fingers between the pins that make the parts Not interchangeable ....
HI I HAVE OPEL INSIGNIA 2010 MOTOR 1.8 ESSENCE , EROR P0016 AND P0017 POSITION OF CAMECHAFT AND KARANCCHAFT , WHAT DOING .
I changed bank one exhaust and bank two intake camshaft

My car seem to lose power. Is shifting gears? At this point
i broke the clip on the connector what do i do

I checked that problem still there
Can you show me how to replace the crankshaft position sensor on the Chevy Cruze
Does the Chevy Cruze 1.4 have two Camshaft position sensors? Do they have different codes to tell you which one is bad. My codes was P0016, and P0017.
