    Fun Fact: Ed Sheeran was Maisie Williams' favorite singer at the time, and nobody told her he was going to be in the episode- So that look on her face when she first sees him is her finding out that she's who doing the scene with.

    Now that Daenerys is in Dragonstone, I too wondered what her next move would be. Strategically this is what I thought; One, she blockades off the Narrow Sea with her navy and dragons, thus stopping import/export trade between Westeros and Essos and guaranteeing her logistic supply lines from the Bay of Dragons. Two, she pays off local pirates like Sallador Saan to only target Westerosi merchant ships, something that was done in real life and where the term privateer comes from. Third, she rallies and meets with her local allies. She could land in Dorne and summon the Dornish army, then travel north and meet with the Tyrell army and besiege Kings Landing on land and sea with the help of the navy. The Dothraki and dragons could stop any reinforcement army from ever reaching them. Just like King Robert said ''Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field''.

    I was happy Arya spared Kitty Frey, not just for Kitty's sake, but for Arya's sake too. It shows that Arya hasn't been consumed by revenge. She's killing precisely, and justly, sparing the innocent. Also got to say how good David Bradley was in that scene, (they all were) - he made me believe he was really Arya!

      they took away everything that made Arya an interesting and flawed character tho. She just becomes a one dimensional, b-movie ninja hero who smirks and accomplishes things with no effort.

    Jon has the only claim of the throne being the actual heir to the throne being the last legitimate heir to the throne being the son of the king. Danny being the aunty of the family doesn't have a legitimate claim since she isn't the heir of the former king.

    • @penguin50279
      @penguin50279 7 месяцев назад +2

      wasn’t viserys named heir after Rhaegar died? and wasn’t Dany viserys’ heir? i could be mistaken. also isn’t Jon still a bastard either way?

    • @Silver_Owl
      @Silver_Owl 5 месяцев назад

      Daenerys is the daughter of the former King, and thus a potential legitimate heir. I'm not sure what inheritance laws apply to Westeros at this point - in earlier times they seem to have followed the French custom of eliminating female claimants. But if you're following the English customs from Tudor times onwards, then yes, Daenerys would have a legitimate claim after Viserys.
      English custom from Tudor times onwards until recently would eliminate any illegitimate children, and give the throne to Rhaegar's descendants. If there were none, then it would fall to Viserys, then since he had no children, then Daenerys is next. Westeros seems to let boys take priority, hence Tommen became King even though Myrcella is clearly older. (UK law was the same until only a few years ago.)
      So the order would be Rhaegar, Jon if he were legitimate, Viserys, then Daenerys. Rhaegar and Viserys are dead, so if Jon is deemed legitimate, he is the heir. If not, then under English law, Daenerys is - under French law, she would be excluded.

    So, Cersei felt betrayed because Tommen got rid of Trial by Combat which then called for her to have a trial which she didn’t go along with. I don’t think she considered Tommen’s suicide to be the betrayal.

    Tbh half of the people who see that scene think that "Ned" slept with his sister. So you are better off. And most people who got the scene already knew the "R+L=J" theory due to fandom conversation between seasons.

    Yes, it's useful for Arya to have this skill but just where did we see her learning it? We barely saw her learning to sword fight, let alone practice the complicated magics that are involved in not just changing a face but changing a voice and a body shape too. Arya in Braavos was the most botched story line of them all.
