Hi R' Efraim, thank you for this video. I found it educational as usual, but I take issue with several items in the video: 1. I don't feel like you made enough of a distinction between asking a tzadik at his kever to pray for you vs. praying *to* the tzadik. You conflated both with "intercession," but true intercession would be praying directly and asking the tzadik to take independent action. 2. I don't see why, if something is prohibited, it would be allowed only for certain tzadikim (i.e. the Avot), but not for others. It would seem that it's either allowed or not allowed. If it's allowed by the Avot, then that's proof that our current practices are not actual necromancy because that would not be permitted for anyone, including the Avot. 3. The fact that Moshe's grave was not disclosed is not a proof one way or the other about the prohibition of asking a tzadik to pray for you at their kever. Moshe was a uniquely revered tzadik and prophet, and the fear was that people would perform *actual* necromancy with him, which nobody disputes is prohibited. You conflated necromancy with the current practices of people at gravesites, which are completely separate practices. 4. At the end, you mentioned the Kotzker rebbe as a response to the tzadikim who did think it was okay to pray at a kever. However, this is not a refutation but merely shows that there is a dispute and which side of the dispute you lean towards. I don't think it's fair to imply that this is the Halacha.
Thank you, Rabbi Efraim. Just for your information, here in Brazil, Catholic Christians celebrate Mother's Day every year on the second (2) Sunday of May (14/15). There are many processions with the image of Mary. People take pictures, cry and sing. There is even a city here named after her, with the largest sanctuary (same as a tomb) to her, with the same processions similar to those that take place at Rachel's tomb (this year is after second (2) sunday too), which resembles a shrine. There is another annual date in October 12 (after second (2) sunday too, and "exactly" a month before Rachel´s hilula), with the same objectives. But with all due respect, I think that such processions deviate from the first commandment of God's law, even though people say they are praying to God, but in practice this is not what happens when we witness it up close. If they themselves were here alive at this time, Mary and Rachel, they would NOT ALLOW this practices, they would lead people to look only at the ONE. This reinforces my understanding of the similarity that currently exists between Judaism and Catholicism (including many segulots) that I mentioned here the other day, and the need for purification of these religions in the future (including mine), so that only the Name of God will be invoked as ONE on the face of the earth. All religions will be PURIFIED, the principalities (celestial nasiim) and powers in the heavenly realms will surrender and fall to the Most High. As a Baptist, I am greatly appreciating your lessons and I thank you for accepting us here and interacting with everyone. Please know this comes from heaven too. Mirla.
I was taught that Caleb was saved from the sin of the spies by praying at Me’arat Hamachpelah. I’ve never heard that he was either punished or reprimanded for that. In fact, it seems to have been a ver praiseworthy thing to do.
I feel the same about Halloween, especially because I know a little about Scottish and Irish history and folklore. Those are two of my ancestral homelands. Also, I grew up in a so-called community of Spiritualists, with neighbors who claimed to be psychics and spirit mediums. I became so disgusted with those unhealthy charlatans that I rejected religious teachings about any kind of afterlife. I was denied healthy, "normal" socialization and any kind of decent traditional culture. I couldn't get married to a nice woman when I was a young man. My weird upbringing will explain why I make statements about the Sadducees being closer to the true Hebraic worldview of the ancient Israelites. Yoy! Yes, I also despise Halloween and I want nothing to do with those forbidden practices mentioned in chapter 18 of Deuteronomy.

I understand that you’d like everything for free, and you are using a free platform and want free entertainment and free education - but the reality is that RUclips has to pay their employees and I have to pay for the production costs of this video. I don’t have sponsors or memberships, and I don’t take money or donations from anyone, and the classes are entirely free and always have been. I pay for the software and video production entirely out of my own pocket. It takes me about 20 to 25 hours to produce just one of these videos. At the end of the day, RUclips is making tons of money from you using their platform whether I monetize or not. To put in a few ads helps to cover my costs, and allows me to make more videos so that you can get quality Torah learning for free. If you don’t like the ads, get RUclips Premium (as I have) and then you don’t have to worry about any ads at all. It’s a small price to pay, but it’s totally worth it. Thanks for watching the video.

@EfraimPalvanov oh and only the poor who can't afford Premium get them I'm sure you're OK with that. I won't be watching anymore video now that you sold out you didn't have them before as far as your time apparently wasted to have to resort to ad revenue should have kept your day job.
There are a number of other instances of burial you didn't mention, including but not limited to Deborah the nurse of Rivka, Elazar son of Aharon, many of the kings being buried in familial plots or caves, and most notably As'æl whose location is recorded as in Bethlehem but as far as I have found in my research (as of yet) there is no known tradition for where he is buried, something unique in that all other people for whom a place is listed we have a tradition of the location (atleast one!)
Asking this because I’m truly curious as to why the Jewish people aren’t making their way back to Israel if this is what they know they are to do to bring Hisham back ❤
We don’t celebrate Halloween. However, I think a relatively small minority of people know about the origins of the holiday. No disagreement that’s it’s bizarre and ugly, but to the vast majority of people in this country, it’s simply an opportunity to let the kids dress on costume, collect sweets from many homes and have the treat-givers fawn over the kids’ costumes and make them feel good. To the historically ignorant masses, this is what Halloween is about. Our kids have Simchat Torah and Purim for the goodies and costumes. I don’t see anything supplanting the innocent fun children have on Halloween in the foreseeable future.
Not true. In 687 Metushelach (son of Chanoch)was born, he died in 1656, he was righteous. HaSh-m waited for his shiva period to end (Rashi on the Torah reference chapter 7 verse 4) before bringing the flood.
@user-pd7il3xz5j What I meant was when Noah got on the ark, no one was righteous on earth, except him. He was saved because only he was righteous at that time. Other righteous people who existed when Noah was alive conveniently passed away before Noah got on the Ark.

The tunnels are probably what is seen after death by NDEers. The way back to life on earth, whereas others don't see a tunnel at all and they are free to leave.

If you read the text with anything other than an uncharitable view, you'd realise that it was someone who was nearby before Christ got there. He was obviously sleeping (in his linen bedclothes), so he must have heard a fuss and jumped up to investigate. He also was so frightened of the soldiers who came to arrest Yeshua and his apostles that he left the clothes he was wearing behind to ensure he could get away. Remember, Peter cut off one soldiers' ears, which you don't do out of nowhere, or if you don't feel extremely threatened/vulnerable. The text also calls the soldiers "young men", incidentally

The Jews were rejected and don't like that part of the story so they ignore it even though they have the opportunity like everyone else to be spiritual Israel yet the tradition of one time being His chosen children overrides the pursuit of actually attaining it. And He gave us His name to use it and you blundered that to WITH your traditions. Ps, I replied 3 times already and RUclips deleted it. Oh and census data of European countries 1930-40 shows about 500k J's in that area yet Hitler somehow found 6 million. @30: The Messiah comes twice, once in humility, inviting us, the second time in terrible power. He can't come in terrible power the first time, otherwise all humans would have died at His coming. Our righteousness is as filthy rags to Hashem. See Isaiah for the "two" descriptions.
Psalm 8 could equally be about Adam, b/c Hashem puts the animals under him, and about human beings in general as he first created them to be, before he became corrupted by the elohim minions who fell and one of which showed up in the garden to pull Adam away from Hashem in envy.

First and foremost, problem with Palestine is that it is name of the small coastal area compared to Judea whare Philistines lived. And you are not them because you are Arabs. Most of the time since 2nd century CE, after Romans destroyed Jewish revolts, the land was just occupied territory by many sides. There was no Philistines, but there was Jewish people everywhere scattered in Mediterranean and in middleast. Jordanian king who claims progeny from prophet Muhammad pbuh (i respect although im not muslim), he was dishonored when he lost Jerusalem, so thats why he broke his ties to Jordanians living in West Bank so called Transjordania. You are waiting for the Messiah but she has been seeing everyone else instead. All Mother Mary apparitions of the world are NOT mother Mary but the Messiah you are waiting for. She is a time traveller, if you can understand resonance and the quantum state. Most do not. Time and space do not exist. There is only resonance here now. So while Messiah has been keeping many company for the last 12000 years, some have been depriving themselves over and over again, lifetime after lifetime. Such a shame. All this knowledge to really and truly still know nothing at all whatsoever. So disconnected All these rituals are done for you to click with the truth. Hi R' Efraim, thank you for this video. I found it educational as usual, but I take issue with several items in the video:
Thanks for the feedback.
Hi Rabbi. Greetings. As usual, enjoyed your teaching.
Shalom and thank you!
OK. I see you address that. I’m at the beginning, so I don’t know what you will say about it yet.
Thank you for sharing the Truth about the abomination the world calls halloween

Nope, thanks for offering though!

Agreed. Halloween is bad.
Hi, do you think you can do a shiur of Yiftach’s daughter?
I hope to do a series on Tanakh in the near future and that would certainly be on the list.

So True. Ive always hated halloween. Thank you.

You monetized thanks for the commercials how godly of you LATER!!! Wasn't getting them before but I am sure getting them now.
@EfraimPalvanov tell that to the judge who probably watches your commercials hell expect pay back for oushing that skip button all these years good luck with that.
@EfraimPalvanov oh and only the poor who can't afford Premium get them I'm sure you're OK with that. I won't be watching anymore video now that you sold out you didn't have them before as far as your time apparently wasted to have to resort to ad revenue should have kept your day job.
The Rebbe had a chidush that Avraham bought a two storied house (very rare back then and there) on the field and caves property.
The Tanakh mentions many deaths and burials, of course, I was referring specifically to those mentioning a special grave (kever).
@EfraimPalvanov maybe I misunderstood something in the class, what defines a special kever in this case?
@@japanlovesyou Meaning, the Tanakh speaks about the kever itself, and not just generically about someone dying and being buried.
We need Moshiach for the Para Aduma? Source?
Not directly. We need to reinstate the priestly services, and that will only happen (presumably) when Mashiach comes.

Most people of our age who come from Eastern Europe or have roots there and seriously partake in the culture despise Halloween. 😉
When Noah was alive, no one on earth was righteous, except him.

There is so much intelligence and wisdom along with hysterical nonsense rooted in the traditions of men here. How can you be so smart and so blind at the same time?
Which part is hysterical nonsense and the traditions of men?
@sniravrahami8456 The Babylonian influence, ignoring the arrival of the Messiah as opposed to the arrival of the kabbalistic demonic anti Christ that they are actually waiting for. The nation of Israel was rejected and was opened up to the gentiles by Paul. Two sticks,.... spiritual Israel, cast off "into the lands where you're are scattered" reunited with physical Judah. What about the 490 years of Daniel until Messiah. He arrived right on time yet Jewish tradition is "looking for the Messiah". Remphran/Saturn/Satan, it's ALL ignored that's clearly rooted in pagan rituals and god's/dogs.
@sniravrahami8456 You know of the prophecy in Daniel of the 7 Jubilees to Messiah, 490 later He arrived and they killed him. Then you start blending Babylonian mysticism and create Kabbalah and start looking for the Antichrist and call him the "Jewish Messiah" so you can avoid responsibility for killing Yahusha. You won't worship or pray to the Dead rightly because it's forbidden by Yahuwah yet you will worship Saturn/Remphran/Lucifer without blinking and eye and call it the star of David. Yahusha condemned the religious leaders of the day for their man made traditions being more important than the "one commandment" that the law led us to, love your neighbor as yourself and Yahuwah with your whole heart mind and strength.

Greetings. I have a question to ask. I am a Noahide who is getting on in years. I would like to make some plans for my funeral before I die. My question is this: Is cremation a good or bad choice ? Thank You.
Bad
@ I’m willing to agree that is bad but please unpack why it’s bad.
@@Spiekerdude In this religion if you willingly cremate yourself you have no part in the world to come when Moschiach comes. You do not rise from dead.
At the beginning of creation the Adam’s body was formed by G-d from the earth(element of earth,) it needs to go back to its source. It’s a right a respectable way to take care of the body which served the soul for a lifetime here on earth.
@@RG-pj1tt thank you for your reply. Fire is also a part of the elemental dynamic. Fire, Earth , air , water and aether . Representing the five solids that are embedded in creation and renewal. The fiery phoenix which escaped the curse is an archetype of the dynamic of death/rebirth should be considered. Yes?
@30: The Messiah comes twice, once in humility, inviting us, the second time in terrible power. He can't come in terrible power the first time, otherwise all humans would have died at His coming. Our righteousness is as filthy rags to Hashem. See Isaiah for the "two" descriptions.
Believer spotted, the Lord Yeshua haMaschiach bless you, brother
Psalm 8 could equally be about Adam, b/c Hashem puts the animals under him, and about human beings in general as he first created them to be, before he became corrupted by the elohim minions who fell and one of which showed up in the garden to pull Adam away from Hashem in envy.

Being righteous is not practical in an unrighteous world. This world isn't for the innocent. Leaders become leaders because of political reasons. I think I have made it little bit clearer.

"And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem"
