I love your specific girly 30s/40s style. It's so pretty and really brings an era usually associated with black and white photography to life. Also you have the best eye for vintage inspired pieces I wish I could be that creative lol!
It's always fun going through your beautifully organized closet. 🥰 I enjoy seeing how your style changes through the years. I definitely go through different phases (nautical, tea party, collegiate, professional/suit, etc.) too. Excited to see your upcoming video this spring/summer! P.S. "I'm sorry the lighting is so horrible!" (Lighting is absolutely fine and your face is glowing perfectly 😂)
I'd be interested in how you store/care for your vintage pieces. I have a medium size collection but I feel like my storage methods are not helpful to extending their life....
To be honest I don't do anything special. the majority of my true vintage dresses stay in my closet all year round (I didn't really show them in this video because they didn't move.... I probably should've lol). I do store some vintage that I showed through this video in a storage room in my basement. My basement is finished so its no different than my closet or bedroom. The hanging stuff is always in garment bags and the folded stuff in big Tupperware totes. Thats pretty much it haha. I do have a couple of 1920s and 1930s more delicate pieces in a storage trunk (you can see it in the background under the phone), I fold each piece in acid free tissue paper so they don't get snagged (some have beads). Thats it haha. I've always been very gentle with my clothes, even as a kid. I buy vintage clothes to wear them as my regular clothes. However if I'm going somewhere where they could get dirty, running out the door to run errands, Lazy day on the couch, or the weather is really bad then I wear vintage inspired.
I love seeing all your amazing pieces in these videos - you have such a good collection! Can’t wait to see what treasures you find at the vintage clothing show.
I never think your closet cleanouts are boring, but then I love long videos, they keep me company while I do chores, cook or scroll. I am glad I'm not the only one who thinks ordering food or especially a single beverage all the time is ridiculous. Maybe sometimes when you feel really lazy or as you said if you want something special, but multiple times a week ? The amount of money and time wasted. Making a coffee takes at most 5 minutes ? There are so many adults who can barely cook because they keep ordering food. It's weird.
Did you ever find the missing blouse?🧐 Also - I would love next time to see a video of you going through your try-on pile. Not sure why, but I love to see people's thought process on why they decide to keep/get rid of things! 😊 Great video as always ❤
NO 😭 I haven't had much of a chance to look for it after filming this video but I'm sure its somewhere haha. I was going to include it but the video was already long with so much talking and I felt it would drag it out.
I totally get you, its my biggest ick when I watch vlogs. Sorry 😭 Love these videos of you switching seasons. My closet is spring, summer, fall and winter all in one I just layer everything haha. Our thrift stores in the Netherlands don't have cute vintage clothes, or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. 🌷
It's just a strange concept to me haha idk. Its actually pretty hard to find true vintage at thrift stores these days, I find more vintage inspired pieces which are great for every day ! Try searching for some local vintage stores or markets/events. You'll have more luck scoring vintage in places like that
I agree! It seems like something the Kardashians would do, but everyone seems to be doing it these days! Someone I know does DoorDash and she would get so many orders of just one milkshake, one coffee, one order of fries, etc. 😳
Loved this! I hope you find good stuff at the vintage show :) too bad I'm in Michigan bc that sounds like a dream! Also I love the Laura Ashley dress you put away - I have a small collection of Laura Ashley and am definitely on the hunt for more so I can be Cottagecore this Summer lol.
I love what you are wearing for the first part of the video. I, too, am going through a slight look change. I’m really excited about the last few pieces I have bought.
Thats too bad ! They have it twice a year, so there will be another one in the fall! Usually in September or October. They usually announce the fall date after the spring show.
Your local vintage shops and vendors will happily purchase your unwanted vintage clothing from you. Some of the vintage stores will give you cash or credit for your vintage goods.
Can you tell I'm binge watching 😂 aiming the camera directly at the window made it very hard to see the clothes. Too much glare. You have an amazing wardrobe. I've been slowly decluttering.
Awesome! He was so cute! Can I ask 2 more questions? --There was a dress you had that had a full skirt and poinsettias on in in black and blue if I recall-- what a pretty dress!! I hope you do a 'formal dress' look book of your most amazing dresses! There was one more that you modeled walking up your staircase that was a knockout-- it was diaphanous and pastel colored-- you looked like an angel in it. My best, Vicky@@CarePinglo
I don't think of the people as lazy, I'm sure they are busy doing a million other things, so I'm not sure what I feel. I get the same feeling when I see people eat at home with disposable plates and cutlery. It's a waste of resources ? I'm not sure hahaha
You have a lovely style. I am surprised you say that your closet looks bare, as you have more in there than the average woman. Especially women from previous eras, as they had considerably less than women do today. Something to consider, maybe?
UPDATE: I found the missing 1930s top LOL

These declutter vids are motivating me to do some spring cleaning myself!
Yess!! I think everyone has been in a decluttering mood this year.... we accumulated a lot of things during the pandemic 😂

Yes! I was wondering this as I watched and would love a video on this too.

@@CarePingloI would love to see how you treat stains or wash vintage pieces at home! Maybe in a vlog..

Thank you !! Fingers crossed I find good pieces at the vintage show! 😊

All of these pieces are stunning, that matching dress and suit set with the flower detail! Wow! And so many beautiful skirts and dresses ❤
This is Exactly what I'm trying to do! 💫

Check out local areas or town you can drive to, you might be surprised and find a vintage show or store you haven't been to. Sounds so fun !!
You could watch "Gosford Park" film has some beautiful 30s gowns for inspiration. 😊
Oooh! I've actually never watched that, I'll check it out! Thank you 💕
I love what you are wearing for the first part of the video. I, too, am going through a slight look change. I’m really excited about the last few pieces I have bought.
Thank you !! I'm excited to find some new pieces !
Did you just say “ it wasn’t cold enough” for Toronto weather ?! 😬🥶 sister !!!!
What do you do with the vintage you declutter? I’ve had success selling reproduction clothes on 2nd hand selling platforms but not vintage.
Show of hands… who is going to the Toronto vintage show? I missed last year because of work, made sure I was able to go this year
Yess !!!! I'm glad you are able to go ! If you see me say Hi ! 😊
You could do a video about layering for vintage style.
You have the most beautiful clothes.
Loved the video! Are you originally from Spain? 💕💕
We had an ice storm this weekend. Super bummed.
I hear you ! We had a snow storm here this weekend 🙃
Darn. I wish I could make it to the Toronto Vintage Clothing Show. Do you know how often they have it? Or is it only an annual event?
Thats too bad ! They have it twice a year, so there will be another one in the fall! Usually in September or October. They usually announce the fall date after the spring show.
@@CarePinglo Great! Thanks for letting me know. Hopefully I can make it to the Fall show!
Have you considered selling your items on Depop or Instagram? I'm also petite and would love to have vintage pieces that fit.

...do you still have Rupert? I hope so.
OMG 😭 I am going to cry !! I can't believe I forgot to show him !!!!! I show him every closet swap. YES I STILL HAVE RUPERT!! ❤️
Awesome! He was so cute!

My brother ONLY eats takeout, i eat one cooked meal a day and one meal from freezer food (unhealthy but still food)
I feel the same way about post mates and Uber eats. I think they are just lazy I don’t get it either what a waist of money

@@CarePinglo I agree I eat at home on real plates / drink out of my glasses etc / I guess people may just be busy idk 🤷🏻♀️
What about vintage bags???
