I tried it out in the Vivo store (I live in China), and I wasn't all that impressed by it. Then again, I didn't try the camera, as they'd said it was 13MP, and I figured it wouldn't be much different than relative MP cameras out there. The sound was alright, though I wasn't really blown away by it the way I have been by the Oppo Find 7 (2K screen variant), but I'm pretty sure they're both the same company, so the internals are pretty close. Either way, it's cool to see that you're so taken by it, and when I walk past their stores again, I'll give the camera a shot. 1.8 aperture is really quite ridiculous (in a good way), so now I'm intrigued. If you get the chance, give the Meizu MX4 a shot, its got a great camera (stunning actually), excellent sound, and is just a really nice phone, all around. Thanks for the review of this phone, it's neat to hear other peoples' perspectives on devices.

If I wasn't broke and already sorta mentally promised to Windows10 for phones (yeah I'm a windows phone user...though sometimes I feel like the only one lol). I am however turned off by the fact it's running 4... I mean, it looks amazing, and FunTouch looks fun. It's just that I am really attracted to Material Design as well....

Stability is a major thing for me in phone and Android lacked that Lollipop self destructed my contacts etc, rather be phoneless than android imho

Probably can't beat the latest the Note 5 or 6 Edge camera and spec, but it still has a very discern camera and satisfactory user experience than many phones. It is now on KitKat. Low light picture is excellent. At the time this came out about a little over a year ago, I was considering Samsung S5 and this one won me over because of the camera.. and its 30% lower price tag compared to S5 (in Malaysian market). Yes it now Dec 2015, but this is still a discern phone considering the price you are paying for it. The review is spot on on its overall quality. Peace!!
Very interesting we only hear about Samsung and Apple mostly but VIVO is new to me and yes I would get one and yes having a device that gives you what you need makes sense.

lucian law This phone has a far better camera and audio chip, so music sound better with headphones and from the speaker. It also built stronger, with a rugged metal trim. Apart from that, the two are very similar, with the oneplus having a bigger screen and a little more battery :)

It got a good battery backup as well. Mine run for 1 and a half day easily on full charge. Everything about this phone is great, and I find it much above OPO one and xiaomis.

It's actually a very big brand in China. They've been doing phones and Hiifis for quite a few years. They are famous for build quality, eye catching design and unbeatable sound quality on mobile phones. That said, they are never famous for cheap price, but everything else.
You all should look into the company "Blu" It's an American company situated within Florida and they have a variety of phones on Amazon/Ebay. Two siblings and myself own different models, but damn we're happy with the prices and performance (Under 200$ with Android 4.4/5.0)

Hi I agree almost, vivo is super phone smart indeed, the funtouch OS makes merry, no heating, fast charging, and with min or negligible lags, its a super brand, if this going to be like this perfect, then one can see almost vivo phones almost every part of the globe, in total experience, vivo gave good user experience and satisfaction, infact while I was shopping, their camea family asking for a new design good stable smartphone and were particular anout samsung high end or iphone , but I suggested them vivo which is 70,% lesser in price tag of the samsung high end and 80% lesser than iphone , and theybought because they found better solid specs in this vivo than that of high end intl.brands, now heard through a retailer that they were and still are happuy , so vivo you rock

If he likes loves that phone then its the best of the year for him. Of course iphone its on top of every phone aside from Galaxy s5 at the moment but honestly with a jailbroken iphone it opens a whole new world. You can do anything a galaxy s5 can do. just you cant change the camera resolution and enable some UIsounds that its the only bad side to it. This comment is not about Vivo just one of my opinions :D

Kenneth, your a spec warrior. Look at Apple. It has dual core chipsets yet its one of the fastest experiences on the market.
a 2600 mAH battery is plenty for the average user. The Galaxy Alpha has a battery less than 2000 mAH, and it lasts me all day.
Meh, the edge is a gimmick to me. I'd rather the Note 4 than the S6 edge. The s6 though is much better imo.
I tried it out in the Vivo store (I live in China), and I wasn't all that impressed by it. Then again, I didn't try the camera, as they'd said it was 13MP, and I figured it wouldn't be much different than relative MP cameras out there.
The sound was alright, though I wasn't really blown away by it the way I have been by the Oppo Find 7 (2K screen variant), but I'm pretty sure they're both the same company, so the internals are pretty close.
