All were great, but the two spiders doing that "we bumped into each other, now which way are you going"-dance later in the video made me truly laugh. Love it.
This is so beautifully made, with clever creations, nice music, and great backgrounds, to show off each automata. Thanks very much for making and sharing these, wonderful moving creations. Best wishes for your continued success 🎶🌎☮❤
the turtle one was more violent than I was expecting lol. Came here after watching CELLULAR automata ( computer programming ) videos but it's similar enough to be pleasing.
God has said in the Quran: { O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - ( 2:21 ) [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. ( 2:22 ) And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. ( 2:23 ) But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.( 2:24 ) And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. ( 2:25 ) Quran
Wonderful work! Some pieces are a little creepy for my taste. Like something that could appear in a Tim Burton's Film. But your talent is undenyable! I really loved the rabbit in the moon and the dancing bear. Best regards!
no doubt there are some, but you can still see how most of these work, no? you'll notice how most of these are cam shafts. most automata you see are cams, gears, sometimes push rods, and pulleys. you can study how this basic stuff functions, look at some how-to videos, and start making a few easy ones to build up your skills using whatever materials you have; paper, cardboard, paperclips, glue, cut some plastic milk cartons up. probably the one thing you might have to search out are gears unless you have a way to make those. so many things have gears in them, though, e.g. pilfering that old electric can opener before throwing it away might yield some. these things look like puzzles to figure out. have a concept, decide on the motions, and concoct a design. there's more than one way to skin a cat, too.
My man, you have amazing talent. All of these are great. Do you sell them online? If not, you should, these are like beautifully intricate mechanical stories.
I've sold mechanicals things on my etsy shop www.etsy.com/shop/thewolfcatworkshop and if there is enough interest I might start a series of these on my patreon page www.patreon.com/wolfcatworkshop. Follow for updates. Thanks!
There is a laser cut version of the walking man, you can download the files here: wolfcatworkshop.com/index.php/freebies/ Recording some making of films is on my to do list. Thank you!
Hi, can someone tell me how you twist the paperclips into such a neat shape - I'm in the late stages of my first small project and the paperclip / wire is a mess, all twisted, but in this video I see it fashioned into a very precise shape. cheers
Like @Hex says below jewelers pliers do help, though I learned all my bending with regular needle nose. That said paper clips are not a great choice of wire, they are readily available but not very easy. I would recommend some annealed wire from the art store, just a bit softer than paper clips but strong enough for this use. Good luck!
Fantastic! I love the way you made the cat help you at 4:51 - a wonderful interaction between the artist and his work!
Haha! Thank you!
this is so marvelous, like each of them is poetry in machinary as it is , but the detailed working and assembly and creativity, its just wow
Such a kind comment. Thank you! ♥️
There's something mesmerizing about the rabbit at 2:46. Beautiful work.
Edit: the octopus with the top hat also has so much personality. I love these.
Those dark figures are beautiful,it would be a great idea for a children's story
O
These loke like light box puppets it’s wonderful
All were great, but the two spiders doing that "we bumped into each other, now which way are you going"-dance later in the video made me truly laugh. Love it.
Thanks! Yes that's one of my favorites too.
Beautiful work. So many different mechanisms. I especially enjoyed the ones which generate their own pneumatic actions.
Thank you for showing these! They are wonderful to watch and even though I understand the mechanics they are really magical.
I love the rabbit running through the tall grass and the mighty beast lifting the lumber from side to side. Very cool😊
Though the grass could have rotated the other way around
Thank you! The rabbit is also one of my favorites.
Love the wood & wire and their tiny size. Creativity is off the charts! Hope you show us how to make one… especially the tools you used.
This is so beautifully made, with clever creations, nice music, and great backgrounds, to show off each automata.

Came here after watching CELLULAR automata ( computer programming ) videos but it's similar enough to be pleasing.
That’s incredible that you made all of these! My favorite one was the person running. It looks like they were running on a treadmill!
it looked like they were riding a unicycle or bicycle to me

I love this work! It reminds me to the game "99 rooms"! Is there any tutorial on how to make these??

Excelente todo lo que creaste..el monstruo da miedo..felicitaciones!!
Damn these look really cool
@4:38 whoa! I don't think I've ever heard Juicy Panic in the wild like this. I wish they had more than a single album.
Nice catch! And yes I also wish they had more albums. I think one of them has another project but it wasn't quite the same.
Nous montrer comment vous les fabriquez serait intéressant...
My man, you have amazing talent. All of these are great. Do you sell them online? If not, you should, these are like beautifully intricate mechanical stories.

how do you make the octopus?? i wanna make one
Hi, can someone tell me how you twist the paperclips into such a neat shape - I'm in the late stages of my first small project and the paperclip / wire is a mess, all twisted, but in this video I see it fashioned into a very precise shape. cheers
Maybe try some jewelers pliers, they're two long tapering cones, meant for making bends of any diameter
Like @Hex says below jewelers pliers do help, though I learned all my bending with regular needle nose. That said paper clips are not a great choice of wire, they are readily available but not very easy. I would recommend some annealed wire from the art store, just a bit softer than paper clips but strong enough for this use. Good luck!
@@wolfCatworkshop Thanks. It's all about knowing the vocab with these things, like annealed wire! Will check it out.
@@GoingtoHecq Will do! Thanks for the tip
I like the one with the two spiders
