Nice video 😍one of the easiest ways to thrive as a new comer is to try and get some form of a ‘license’…like try getting a ‘forklift license’ or ‘security’ license…it makes life wayyy easier….cos those type of jobs are always available and they above minimum wage..you can be getting $20 to $22 per hour…all the best dear❤️❤️

This brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of my humble beginning here in Canada. When I came into Canada about 12 years ago, it wasn't easy. I worked my butt off, moving from one job to the other but I give thanks to God today because I run my own business from one the malls. The beginning is always rough for some of us but just hang in there. A time is coming when you will look back and laugh over everything. I wish you the best.
Laghos please how can I apply for a job in Canada 🇨🇦.. can you assist me please
Good morning sir, living in Canada is a lifetime dream of many people. Sometime we have to knock on all necessary doors for we don't know which one will open in order to make our dreams a reality. Please sir, is there any way you can assist me with a sponsor visa so I can gain access to the beautiful country, it will be like a deal which I will pay for. Please help a brother in need. Thank you

This reminds me of my first job in the USA. It was at an air conditioner factory. I used to come home from work and sleep in the living room as I was too tired to go upstairs to the little room that I was renting. I was also working and going to college. It was very tough but I hung in there and surrounded myself with positive people. Hang in there, it will get better. Today, I am living my American dream; I have two degress (nursing and psychology), own my home and is about to open my small business. I am happy that you go to church and know God. Trust in God, surround yourself with positive people and focus on the good. I wish you well. IT WILL GET BETTER. Praying for you.🙏🏾 Have you tried looking for a caregiver job- they are usually lighter work than the factory work. Your blessing is coming soon.

immigrant go through so much. This video reminded me my first start here in the USA in the state of NEW YORK CITY. You come as a professional, someone educated, smart, with tremendous potential but these countries will humble you to the point of no RETURN. BUT YET it's these countries that offer some sort of equality in opportunities if you are willing to do the impossible and succeed. The Price we pay for success here in high!!! Olusola, that's the hustle when you 1st come to Canada.
I remembered when came 10 years ago, I lived in Toronto and worked factories in Mississauga, Brampton, Milton etc.... was hell of stress going and coming back home without a car 🚗 .....
I did several courses and finished Project Management course at Sheridan College, Brampton.
I later moved from Toronto to Calgary, Alberta where I worked with oil and gas ⛽ Company.
Today, I work with Government of Canada in Nunavut as Oil and Gas/ Environmental.
Its a milestone..... keep the hustle but get a drivers license and get a $1000 small car which will ease your stress. Hustle is real here in Canada compare to what people think back home........
Oh wow 🥳🥳 this is so inspiring 💃🏾💃🏾 Thank God for your life. I’m so happy for you. Thanks for your kind words ❤️

Let’s be grateful as Canada immigrants, most especially those that came through the Permanent Residency routes. My understanding is Canadians also engage in these hustle jobs and should be largely considered just a phase for most immigrants, besides there’s no downside to it as it contributes towards Canadian work experience.
One thing we should keep in mind is the massive inherent opportunities, considering the growth trajectory in Canada. Let’s talk more about collaboration in the real estate and technological space.
Who said she was ungrateful? Sharing her real experience is not being ungrateful even if Canadians do this odd jobs means absolutely nothing she’s 1000% free to share her experience
Whenever an immigrant shares there unfiltered experiences people always deflect and say “be grateful” …if this doesn’t apply to you then let others share there journey.
Hullo, how long did it take you to get the permanent permit, and how much did it cost? Thanks
Grateful about what?

I saw this video on my news feed, then I decided to watch it. I got interested, Subscribed to the channel, and liked the video because I was enjoying it. Olusola, I like the way you talk and show us the reality of what you are going through in Canada.
This will really make people back home here in Nigeria, especially those that want to migrate to Canada to understand that there is no free meal or free money anywhere, not even in Freetown.
They will be prepared physically and mentally before they arrive. They will realize that life is not a bed of roses, and success does not come to the lazy, but to the ones that works hard in the smartest way.
Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences in Canada with us here. By God's Grace, you will get a better job there, I see it coming between now, and the next three months, and you will still come here to testify in Jesus Mighty Name I declare.
Stay blessed. We love you.

I almost wept for you o in this video and started asking myself if I am really sure that I am ready for this stress. Thanks so much for the sincerity on life in Canada. I will keep following your videos
🥰🥰 trust me, if I can do it, anyone can! I’m just trying as much as I can to prepare people’s mind through my videos, so that there will be no surprises, that’s all. Don’t be discouraged oo ❤️
@@olusolalove thanks so much
Micheala Udioh, exactly my thought. And i have shouted it better than 9ja
Same questions I've been asking myself.
I thank God for this video, this shows that where ever you are just be grateful because it is just like you have entered another person's person space so we learn everyday. It's hard to live in another man's country and expect it would have been better than where you are coming from; stay strong, finish your dream and don't ever forget home. One Love!!
I found your channel and it's one of the best, your consistency and being realistic made me subscribe,, from Kenya
Thank you 🤗❤️
It starts like this, just keep at it. I started at an Amazon warehouse, still on the journey, as I write my professional exams. Hang in there, it'll all work out and it'll get better.
Thank you 🙏🏽
What a very informative video showing the reality of life abroad. Thank you very much for sharing your experience. This is the same experience l had when I first arrived in the UK many years ago. Most of Africans, (Nigerians in this case) go through this difficult experiences when first in Western Countries eg. Europe, the US, Canada, the UK etc. I really hope that those our forever demanding relatives in Nigeria and other African countries are watching this video and know that we Africans who live abroad don't pluck money from trees or pick money from the road side. We Africans in the diaspora have to sometimes work our guts off in order to pay our rent, bills and other expenses. Unfortunately our relatives in Nigeria and other African countries refuse to understand this and keep demanding for money, even when some of them are self sufficient!!!!!! You can't have a simple WhatsApp conversation with relatives back home without them telling you about one problem or another ie their kids can't go to school because school fees has not been paid, the wind blow the roof off and a new roof is needed, your nephew fell off a pawpaw tree and fractured his arm and is in hospital and needs to pay the hospital fees etc etc etc!!!!!! The list goes on. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!! If one dies tomorrow abroad, will the so called demanding relatives still not live their lives?????
Hmmm, this is deep! Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏽
You are right my brother, I live in Dubai. It's not easy here
Am in Saudi and that's how they are back home. But I only send money to my mom. Others never helped in any way so keep off.
I knew there was something about you when I first watched your videos. From this, I can tell we are Spiritual sisters from the same Church (if you know, you know). Your resilience, tenacity, and humor are endearing. This phase will soon pass, it is only but for a moment. Hang in there. I love how you love Jesus, keep it up. Love you, from your Christian Sister.
🥰🥰 thank you so much sis 🤗❤️
Olusola, I look forward to seeing your story turnaround for good...it's a gradual process you're getting there...Success

@@olusolalove you should😂
Don’t forget the day of your little start for it shall be great, one of the biggest lessons living in America has taught me is that America will break you to make you and i believe it’s same over there in Canada as well, here in America you have your destiny in your own hands and it’s up to you to build something great out of it, it takes time but trust me when you’re fully established and stabilized the great joy and happiness will set in, couple of months ago i visited the first place i worked when i came here years ago and the first apartment i lived in and i looked at the pictures i took at my first job compare to my current status it was really a great time of reflections, and all i can say now is Glory be to God for all his love, grace and provisions! stay blessed everyone!
This is great! Thank God for your life. Thanks for sharing 💕
AMEN
I work in an icecream factory too in one of the Scandinavian countries. One positive thing I say about the company is that, they are highly concerned about the welfare of the employees. Chairs are provided on almost all the places on the line. And team leaders encourage us to sit as much as possible whilst we work.Even with sitting positions, we all complain of back, neck and spine pains. We are all entitled to massage and the company covers most of the cost. It is quite disheartening to hear that your employers allow you to stand for 8hrs. Either than that, I will say that is the life of an international student. All will be fine, it is just a matter of time.
Wow, lucky you 😄 Thank you ❤️
It depends the company u work for ,in Volvo company in Scandinavia people stand for good 6hrs operating machines, they are meny job people stand ,
The Lord will meet you at the point of your NEEDS IN JESUS NAME.
Helo a frend to get a job over thier pleasee

You are so strong. You've been a blessing to me and I think it's amazing you can show these intimate and not so perfect parts of your life with us. Takes a lot of strength and character TBH.
I'm praying for you sister, God is in control
Thank you so much 🤗❤️
"We don't complain we give God thanks" ❤ we should all humble ourselves to be but a portion of light and positive energy that this young lady is. The universe will reward you greatly.
🙏🏽❤️
I love you baby girl! God has beautiful surprises for you. Keep your head high and don't forget that even if we're virtual. You have a family here. God would crown your efforts. You're made for greatness!!! 😘❤❤❤
Thank you 🤗❤️
Hanging in there. It will pay off as long as you are focused on the big picture. I also went through difficult few months when I arrived in the US 23yrs ago. Today, I am blessed and grateful.
You may also want to look for retail jobs or healthcare assistance which i believe will not as physically demanding as factory job. Good luck.
God is your strength @Olusola. Please just find positive reasons to bench mark on. Focus on your goals and surely you will get there. I love your honesty. Many travel out there and some show and live fake lives without painting the real hustle they go through to survive. Put God first too in every thing and find time to rest, if possible find another job. A better one at that. You can do it. Stay positive love!!!
I also did a few weeks in a factory in 2009. Try navigating towards health care or PSW. You will get more pay, more shifts easier, sometimes paid to sleep. Flexibllity as part time till you achieve your main career goal
I hear you girl. Much love from here. Always remember that all things work together for the good of those that love God and for the called according to His purpose. Shalom
Thank you 🙏🏽
42000 view equals 42000 prayers for you. You are giving so much wisdom and preaching and ministering.

Keep up your spirit.. I was inspired by your video and how strong you are physically, mentally, and spiritually. It motivated me to do more, to keep myself against the wall on everything that I'll do.

Hardworking spiritual lady. God will bless the work of your hands. Keep up the hustle!
Hi Olusola, I have lived in Calgary for 10 years. I also came in as an international student. This is how the life begins for most people. When I lost my engineering job in 2015, I had to fall back to this life to survive. It's an experience you gain that might become useful again. Well, I later got back into my engineering profession after much struggle that needs a lot of patience and endurance. Be Strong and plan your days & finances. It will surely pass.
