I think we would all be interested in seeing more on this product. Testing its' overall strength would be interesting on hubs, as you mentioned. But, it appears to be a good addition to the kit for quickly keeping small tears from turning major and ruining a body.
Hey Medic, the Bondic already crossed the sea to good old Europe. We also used it in various situations and it helped on different parts. We could finalize a race with broken stub axle and turnbuckles just with this glue. Of course it does not hold forever but a short quick and dirty maintainance is perfect. Thx for your great show
I just thought I would let you know how much I appreciate you and your videos. You are the one that inspired me to get into the rc hobby. Thanks so much man!
Very neat idea. I have seen this stuff and even commercials on it. Now that I know it works this good I will get have to give it a try. Thanks for this.
I am a "Shoe Goo" kind of guy on tears but really if you use Rhino Guard or Plasti-dip to coat the inside of a new body you can prevent alot of damage beforehand.Never heard of this stuff but I am open to new experiences! Thanks for the info.
I've seen a few sales videos of this stuff, but they left me thinking it was some sort of gimmick. Now that I've seen a real world repair video by someone whose opinion I trust I have more faith in it. On a side note, I hope everyone has a blast at your upcoming event. I would love to attend, but it is both physically and financially impossible for me at this time. However, I know that the footage you get, and share, will make us all feel as if we were there.
You might want to add a few more thin layers. It gets stronger that way. Some tips from my experience with Bondic: - You can squeeze the light for momentary operation. Someone probably already mentioned it. - It gets HOT when curing (thanks to NightFlyyer for his vid on that), so don't use it on your skin like superglue for stitches, or anywhere else where heat is a problem.. - If you are going to be gluing something bigger or for more time, get a fan and blow the fumes away as they are nasty. It doesn't stink bad, but the fumes are an irritant and can give you a headache and sore throat, that happened to me. -The stuff has a tendency to leak, so might want to store it upright, so pen tip is facing up inside the case. This is just from experience, I made a little "FPV roll cage" for my 1/24th scale crawler using Bondic. It was for my tiny Spektrum VA2500 FPV cam/ VTx cloverleaf antenna that is sticking out of Rocksta top. Made it out of RC car antenna tubes and "great stuff foam" applicator tube.. and it worked! Made a vid showing the tiny rollcage. Bondic is good stuff! Not perfect, but very good. BTW Bondic are sending me out a replacement because mine was leaking all over the place and I complained about it in my vid.
I love Bondic. I have been using for a while now on most of my rc's.... mainly as wire holds. Just a little bridge of it over any wire anywhere helps neaten wires up very easily. Medic, if you're going to repair the paint in the back... Maybe black out the back windows so you can't see the body posts? Not picking brother, just a suggestion. Great video as always! Keep up the great work!
Hi all I did this, year 2018 and after few months it starts to crack on my Slash. But I done it differently and worked amazing. As this video no need to scratch the body; it’s take the few seconds and I did on both side bonded. This came extremely hard so it’s the opposite of Shoe Goo. So what I did is bonded then Shoe Goo + drywall mesh joint tape. We are 2 years later such 2020 and same bashing body. I had holes with miss part Lexan. No problems. Cut mesh around hole. Bond mesh to Lexan all around it to make hard; it very nice to shape it the way the body was to; little bond on line to shape. Then Shoe Goo the mesh and bond. Voila. Now your big hole is now hard where it needs and flexible such Lexan for the rest of the hole. I have had the same bashing body since 2 years for my Slash and this mix Bond, Shoe Goo and Tape mesh just work so good. For those want to paint without seeing the mesh. Clear tape ext do you mesh with bond, fill with Shoe Goo. Dry. Remove tape. Paint colour and dry. Then mesh and shoe goo for reinforcing. Voila. Bond is so nice to extend life of Lexan body. Cheers all.
Oh wow, i have literally been on that web site and carted some before and just couldn't pull the trigger because i was sure it was just super glue with a new gimmick, however you have really changed how i felt, could you put a drop on some foam and see if it will bond or melt it... Or maybe i will try it myself, thanks Aaron! 😀👍🏻
Nice that stuff is a good idea Medic I will have to look into seeing if I can get it here in Australia or maybe something similar, thanks for sharing that.
An adhesive product I have a had a lot of luck with is Q-bond. It is basically super glue but it is paired with a powder that turns solid on contact with the glue. It probably wouldn't fix a lean body though.
Hi medic , great product I definitely need to get me some of that, I'm sure you would know this but, every body she'll I use I pre line it with fibre packing tape although it may make it a tiny bit heavier it stops most cracks in the first place it also takes away the noisy rattle of lexan whilst driving non of my shells have cracks and I bash and race them all the time
+MrNealeChidler Try "Rhino Guard" as a liner. Its an automotive rubberized spray. Its makes the body heavier but if you put a thin layer on it makes the body nearly indestructable from impact.
Medic for full scale vehicles theres body filler called Bondo and its like drywall putty but its blue or purple and you use it to full in tiny dints in a full scale offroader or to body fill a rebuild project. then you sand and paint so that could be how they got the name.
A handy video! I've managed to get a crack in the body shell of my new TRX4 Sport which I built and painted! Only a few weeks old too. I guess one issue with this Bondic is does it still flex with the bodyshell, or does it cure into a hard glue which doesn't flex?
nice, i bet that's a lot lighter than shoe goo and drywall tape. i'm interested to see how it holds up. although with as much cartwheeling that i do, i'd probably need to buy a case of the stuff 😉
Any chance of a flow up video about this product such as the application and cureing process like dose it heat up and can it be used to fill wire holes on a body?.
Wow man thats amazing! Be very careful where you stick your BONDIC man, some folks might not appreciate it LOL Thanks man, I'll have to get some of that for my daughter's FJ Cruiser bod for trail repair!
Curious to know if you're still using this bondiq stuff, if the repair in this video held up, etc. My experience with this glue is it turns brittle and breaks, it's not flexible like say e6000 or shoe-goo would be
Damn.. Another video about this ultra-violet glue stuff.. And I Still haven't tried it.. Shame on me.. Thanks for reminding me! Nightflyyer had good results with this stuff as well (as you might have come across).. Tape on the outside was a great way to go with this I think :)
I actually used the stuff to chopp a 55 Chevy 1/8 scale body still holding also extended a 1/8 scale blazer body to be a 4x4 herrs it's awsome stuff arms cracked rims go pro mount it takes a beating only thing it's stronger then most bobby material so the material fails again be for it dose I'd give an a++
Repairing video really interresting. Could you also give some tipson how to reinforce a body befor it breaks, and where should we reinforce it?? That would be great. Thanks form a Belgium RC guy.
Would that work on plastic coat hangers? Because I would like to make a role cage for my slash 4x4 when I get my new body just I want to make sure something will work before I buy something for it
+rocking546 Second that. The stuff is super tough when done right, but obviously the process is a bit more involved than what medic did here. I can see where this product would come in handy as long as it can hold up to the task during a run. Time will tell!
Hey medic just a quick question about motor and esc combo which one's would you suggest in a exceed mad torque I'm getting one because I can't afford an axial or rc4WD which I would like I know the motors are 540 brushed but I would like
u should use a hairdryer instead of a comressor to dry it out, compressors exhaust a lot of vapour. bondiq is also used by dentists to fill holes in teeth. So you are now officialy medic dentist rc
+Chris O'Donnell in the Netherlands they use the Same brand only its white gleu ingredients are the same. I asked my dentist and showed her the footage. she had to laugh really hard and asked me if I want to have some of her. wich I do not get.
OK I have a question for you. I have the exc torment and I quit running. it turns on but won't move the front wheels turn but the back doesn't work would you think it's the motor or something else
Shoe goo is the best with fiber tape it cannot be beaten despite the smell. I have repaired lexan body corners with it and nothing approaches the durability of this combo.
Another good tip is to drill a small hole at the end of the crack to keep it from spreading
+RC Grid that is a good advise, even if its just a tiny lil hole, the clean round cut will dead end the fracture! 😀👍🏼
I think we would all be interested in seeing more on this product. Testing its' overall strength would be interesting on hubs, as you mentioned. But, it appears to be a good addition to the kit for quickly keeping small tears from turning major and ruining a body.

I've used a type of this. Use the light for a while and it works good. Great video.
Its Bondo for us RC'ers! I have GOT to pick some of this up.
I've seen a few sales videos of this stuff, but they left me thinking it was some sort of gimmick. Now that I've seen a real world repair video by someone whose opinion I trust I have more faith in it.

That was pretty neat trick to use on the RC bodies. 👍
NOT BAD CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW IT WORKS ON OTHER PLASTICS!
I hope it warms up soon..im dieing to see that 1/4 scale crawler in action....
You might want to add a few more thin layers. It gets stronger that way.

Great tip and good timing. My last video I put up cost me a few cracks on my Slash body :) I will be checking this stuff out to fix it! Thanks
Oh wow, i have literally been on that web site and carted some before and just couldn't pull the trigger because i was sure it was just super glue with a new gimmick, however you have really changed how i felt, could you put a drop on some foam and see if it will bond or melt it... New subscribers also newbie to the Rc Hobby........RC Sparks Adventure is Awesome...👍🏽👍🏽 on ur videos...
This is my best learning on how to use nitro and electrical
nice tip. ive always taped outside with painters tape and used shoego on the inside. works great but definitely doesn't cure as fast as that. lol.
awesome repair i think ill be getting a few of those kits
An adhesive product I have a had a lot of luck with is Q-bond. It is basically super glue but it is paired with a powder that turns solid on contact with the glue. It probably wouldn't fix a lean body though.
Lexan body*
Damn auto-correct
+ChrisP Bacon Auto-correct makes us say things we didn't Nintendo.
That's impressive bit of kit Will have to get some of it for the kids rc's and feild box lol
Congrats for 1 million
All hail the little purple light :D
Sold.
Wonder how well it'll work on bust suspension arms.
I bet that stuff would work great on cracked a arms as well!

Great looking truck dude.
After watching this video.
I'm going to buy this too.
Thank you. 😀
I almost bought one of those things for the same reason now seeing that it works I might just go ahead and buy one
A handy video!

Are gonna make a video on the snow blower? I think everyone wants to see that in action again!! That was cool last time man!
Thanks Medic. You just sold me one!
It's basically the same kind of resin that is used in some kinds of 3d printing, also in dentistry.
nice, i bet that's a lot lighter than shoe goo and drywall tape. i'm interested to see how it holds up. although with as much cartwheeling that i do, i'd probably need to buy a case of the stuff 😉
thanks for the video medic gunna have to pick some of that stuff up and give it a try
Cool product for sure.
Thanks for sharing.
Cool I've been wanting to see that stuff in action other than the infomercial..
that top part that's missing paint you should leave it or make it look like that looks kinda cool
Any chance of a flow up video about this product such as the application and cureing process like dose it heat up and can it be used to fill wire holes on a body?.
Good sell sparks! I shall add it to my kit.
Another happy repair
Looks like there are a few different products that behave similarly. 5 second fix and Rapid fix, both UV activated.
that's really cool medic thanks for the video close up looking into trying it out my self
Its very important to de grease the surface before applying the bondic.
Wow man thats amazing! Be very careful where you stick your BONDIC man, some folks might not appreciate it
LOL
Thanks man, I'll have to get some of that for my daughter's FJ Cruiser bod for trail repair!

How has the body held up with the bondic? Have you used it on anything else?? Thanks. Great vids..
Curious to know if you're still using this bondiq stuff, if the repair in this video held up, etc. My experience with this glue is it turns brittle and breaks, it's not flexible like say e6000 or shoe-goo would be
I'm kinda new to rc ing so I was wondering how u get multiple motors and connecte them plz answer I really love your channel

Nightflyyer swears by this stuff.

Damn.. Another video about this ultra-violet glue stuff.. And I Still haven't tried it.. Shame on me.. Thanks for reminding me!
Nightflyyer had good results with this stuff as well (as you might have come across)..
Tape on the outside was a great way to go with this I think :)
Hey! Are you dutch?
+Alko Alomerovic What gave me away Alko? :)
+DutchRC Adventures lol
That's better then both of my fenders zip tied on lol
I actually used the stuff to chopp a 55 Chevy 1/8 scale body still holding also extended a 1/8 scale blazer body to be a 4x4 herrs it's awsome stuff arms cracked rims go pro mount it takes a beating only thing it's stronger then most bobby material so the material fails again be for it dose I'd give an a++
I use the stuff a few weeks really awesome
man good call medic. i used this on a busted old mooneys van and its tough stuff. i havent drove thus thing in 13 years. cuz you cant find parts
Repairing video really interresting. Could you also give some tipson how to reinforce a body befor it breaks, and where should we reinforce it?? That would be great. Thanks form a Belgium RC guy.
+BigPitter I spray a rubberized liner called Rhino guard on the inside of all of mine. Makes it heavier but more resistant from impacts
What is the least expensive rc that that bronco body fits. What would a losi xxcr and a losi worlds edition trade for?
Nice tutorial.
Would that work on plastic coat hangers? Because I would like to make a role cage for my slash 4x4 when I get my new body just I want to make sure something will work before I buy something for it
Bondic XD what a name for a weird glue
drywall tape and shoe goo i use and works great
+rocking546 Second that. The stuff is super tough when done right, but obviously the process is a bit more involved than what medic did here. I can see where this product would come in handy as long as it can hold up to the task during a run. Time will tell!
what's up medic I'm ordering a cc-01 and am torn between body's is the little extra chedder worth it for the hard body shell
Quality Video As Always, Keep Up The Good Work, Many Thanks Charlie!
Hey medic just a quick question about motor and esc combo which one's would you suggest in a exceed mad torque I'm getting one because I can't afford an axial or rc4WD which I would like I know the motors are 540 brushed but I would like

bondiq is also used by dentists to fill holes in teeth.
So you are now officialy medic dentist rc
+Hugo vd Elzen Really? The same glue and everything? I shudder at the thought of that!
+Chris O'Donnell in the Netherlands they use the Same brand only its white gleu ingredients are the same. I asked my dentist and showed her the footage. she had to laugh really hard and asked me if I want to have some of her. wich I do not get.
medic you should try it on the old savage hub carriers and arm you broke last video if you didn't throw them away that is.
That is sO COOL!!!
Medic, how do you repair hard bodies, I have a tundra that needs some work
Awesome tip. Thumbsup
Well at least we know he's not a vampire now.
I think you got a little rough on the crack, no wonder it's sealed shut. Did you put another layer on her, or was once good enough?
yore videos are awesome!!!
im looking for a realtree camo hydrofoil but cant seem to find any for sale, any recommendations?
I use five second fix same concept it works great !
i have a traxxas slash 4x4 and i ready like old vw's and i all ready got both beetle body's. do you k wow a nother vw body for the slash?
When you hit 100000 million subs can you do a tour around the shop
OK I have a question for you. I have the exc torment and I quit running. it turns on but won't move the front wheels turn but the back doesn't work would you think it's the motor or something else
Nice man now get it DIRTY!
everybody was thinking it,
Thats what she said
Ever tried shoe goo it is the best stuff i've ever used for repairs and strengthening lexan bodys. .
+orangeriderz here's the difference.. this was dry in less then 1 minute! :)
+orangeriderz Yeah it is good.. I use it all the time.. but the fumes are horrific, and Bondic is FAST.
Shoe goo is the best with fiber tape it cannot be beaten despite the smell. I have repaired lexan body corners with it and nothing approaches the durability of this combo.
U r my inspiration
are you supposed to wear UV protive glasses while useing the light?
Pretty neat!
Nice I got to get some!
Can you not clear coat it after its been hydro dipped to protect it a bit?
yes
James Bailey Jr I thought so but wasn't sure if a 2 pack clear coat would react with the hydro dip .
Do you know of any mods or things I can do with the TRAXXAS stampede
