Italian Holiday Part 1 -- Milan | May 2024

- In May 2024 Peter and I visited Italy for 23 days. The trip started in Milan where we had a few days shopping and exploring Milan. This video is the start of our travel vlog and there will be several more videos describing our time on the Albatross Italian Grande Tour, the play list for this trip is • Italy 2024 .
In Milan we stayed at the Hotel Anderson which is part of the Starhotels Premium Group ( www.starhotels.com/en/our-hot... ). It was located where our tour started from and close to the Central Railway station, it's a good hotel. We used the Hop on Hop-off Bus tour to get around the city as it had a stop near the railway station ( www.hop-on-hop-off-bus.com/mi... ). Great service to get an overall view of the city and then you can really explore if you have time.
We spent time shopping in the area around the Duomo Cathedral including Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Rinascente Milano and the surrounding streets, great shopping.

I'm planning on following your trip - thank you for filming it! I'm in love with your toile dress! The breakfasts wherever you go in Italy always puzzle me with their absolutely enormous focus on sweet things. I used to live in Australia (Sydney) and maybe the only downside was just how long it took to travel anywhere due to its' isolation.
Oh thank you! Yes there are many things that are different in other countries which for us is one of the joys of travelling.. We are a bit behind with editing the videos but will try and catch up as soon as we can. 10 hours is a long stopover. Milan looks lovely. Looking forward to seeing /hearing more of the bus trip. We did some back in our 20s (but for an older crowd) but I'm sure if I'd manage anymore with my fibro. Plus I really dislike getting on and off big coaches.
