It's Peña not Pena, through time our Ñ in Peña was lost due to ~ is not represented in other languages. Used to be known as a strong noble ties due to amout of land Peña clan had owned, but most importantly had ownership of a bridge that was the quickest safe way to get from one point A to B plus an road for trade and market. Peña - meaning family, or better known as tree by the water fall or bridge by the water.

Hi Roberto! Good timing, I’m online! Thanks for your insights as you also have the same last name.
I totally agree with you. I’m from the Philippines, a former colony of Spain so Ñ is a very common letter in our language, as is your last name.
As a foreigner, I respectfully take in what is taught by guides and vast literature.
If you Google this place your won’t find Ñ as its spelling.
So even if I figured this was actually Pen-ya, who am I to impose.
Nonetheless thank you for sharing ☺️
