Eurostar is the most expensive but also the most convenient way to cross the Channel. You get what you pay for. If you book at the right time you can get a one-way ticket for as low as £39
With UK having left the EU, would the EU pay money on that cross broader train? I don't think so. Maybe if the UK was still in the EU, then may be they would, if they were going to do it.
The time it takes to get through the customs and immigration checks means that Eurostar are not running the trains full, apparently. They are only about 70% full, it would take too long to get a full train-load of passengers through the various checks.. I should find out for myself next week, first time since before the pandemic that I will use Eurostar. I booked far enough in advance to get the low-price tickets and IMHO it is a bargain. For me the worst part is getting to St Pancras train station. If only they still ran from Waterloo/ the "North Pole" station it would be a lot more convenient for me and I'd use it much more
A very thorough video !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🚄💕💞

Yes, but the Eurostar Group (with Thalys) is now based in Belgium. 55 % of this group belongs to SNCF. So, i think this is an eu-issue.
I paid 65 euros for one way ticket - 1,5 months before the trip. Standard class from Paris to London.
I paid £50 each way between 1-2 months before I go (London-Rotterdam and back) btw this is all direct.
Because of Brexit
😢
