Thank you so much for making this video. It gave me the confidence to fix the pump myself. Similar to @Charles McKee, I removed the wheel and the two fasteners under the front bumper. With the extra two fasteners removed, I folded the inner fender shield out of the way. To get better access to the pump, I unhooked *two* electrical connectors. One goes to the pump itself. Another one goes to a different part behind the washer tank (fluid level sensor, maybe). That second connector is kinda in the way when trying to swap the pumps. Once unhooked, I duct-taped male and female plugs to protect them from the splashing washer fluid. Finally, I placed a bucket under the pump to catch the leaking fluid. I was able to swap the pumps with very little mess. Thanks again for the video. Very helpful.

Thanks for the video, this was a lot easier to replace than I anticipated. Probably took me 15 minutes to complete. Love RUclips videos. $20 pump and my vs. $200 at the shop.

Do yourself a favor and remove the reservoir to clean it out. It takes 5-10 minutes to remove the bumper. I just took mine out and cleaned it really good. There was so much dried up thick gel like washer fluid contaminates covering the pump screen and in the tank. You don’t wanna have your new pump fail prematurely due to a clogged screen. I though I would just flush it but I removed so much from inside, I’m glad I took it out and cleaned it. Great video, thank you for the post. You can find a video how to remove the bumper on RUclips.

Thanks for the tips about removing the wheel and the extra two fasteners. I did the same to gain better access. The inner splash shield folded completely out of the way once I removed the two fasteners at the bottom.

Helpful video. My windshield washer pump works fine but the fluid doesn't get to the nozzles. Fluid is pumped to an area near/in back of the engine compartment firewall and fluid runs down onto the ground. I suspect the tube in the area of the leak was chewed by a rat. The area of the leak is not accessible in the wheel well but your video was helpful because it shows the tube at the fluid tank is accessible with the wheel well cover removed. I'll cut the tube near the tank, attach a new tube and run it under the cover on the right side of the engine compartment to the tube fitting going to the washer nozzles. Very helpful video! Thanks

Notice how he used the flat head screw driver to pry apart the wheel well guard. He didn't care about leaving scratches on his fender. That's the scary part about taking your car to a repair shop. The mechanics might not care about scratching your car. lol HELPFUL VIDEO THOUGH!

I was wondering the same thing. About to do a replace of my pump; pretty sure the assembly's behind the fender liner.
