Thanks very much for this video. Buying one of these in the UK but you never get to see a dark outside illuminated interior video and yours was the only one I could find. Very grateful for your help and the quality of this video.
@@robob221 The only LED lights that annoy people on the road are the aftermarket crap that the owner never installs correctly. The stock LED lights fall under the same DOT regulations. They have to be installed at a level that doesn't impede oncoming traffic.
Kevin A I understand there is a DOT guideline but it doesn’t seem to stop every single new pickup truck to have an unnecessary amount of lights all over the front of the car. I can’t tell what is factory and what isn’t, there ride hight still reflects insane amounts of light off non self tinting mirrors in vehicles. I find pickup trucks and Jeeps to be the most modded up, unbelievably tall vehicles on the road. I believes anyone who is obsessed with huge cars to be the most alpha male flaunting baby’s. Don’t even get me started on how baby clean these “off road” and “utility” vehicles are. God forbid there is road tar or dust on wheels, it’s cleaned immediately for style over function. Go to Vermont or somewhere in the mid west and you will see the true owners of utility vehicles.
Kevin A how do you like your SE. I just got mine and the only things I wish I had were JBL audio and moonstone interior. Thinking of adding JBL Basshub in the spare tire.
Man, you do an awesome job reviewing cars. The lighting just sold me this car. I'll be buying it soon. Just waiting for the 2020 Detroit Auto show to see if they're gonna have a TRD version for 2021.
I like being able to turn off all the lights. That can add to the battery life over time versus starting the engine with the headlights already on. The batteries in my Camry usually last 6+ years, and when I take it to get it replaced, they’re always surprised at how long it has lasted.
Thank you for featuring the Corolla HB again, Mike! I recently got one and your original video for this car helped me with the decision. Do you own this particular one?
Toyota needs to enter the adaptive headlights technology too. LED lights are bright and blinding too. HID lights are much more pleasant on the road and they illuminate extremely well too
The cost of LED lights is almost equivalent to standard bulbs these days. Most people don't realize that. That's why ALOT of car companies get away with charging extra for them still.
@@Sto79Be The headlights are replaceable units just like standard headlights. The only difference is the filiment is an LED. As far as the taillights, I honestly don't know. But to solder the bulbs on would make no sense. Most LED bulbs I've seen for cars are just as replaceable as old style bulbs.
Is it possible to set 2 different levels for illumination intensity? For example 90% for day time and 70% for night time. And the switch between the 2 levels to be done automatically when the headlights are turned on or off. Thanks!
Great video. Definitely want this car. Not even because of the lighting though haha. But... Illuminated cupholders? Completely a third world problem haha.
IN ONE OF HIS VIDEOS HE SAID THE TURN SIGNALS WERE NOT LED AND THEY WEREN'T.... IN THIS VIDEO HE SAID THEY ARE LED AND THEY ARE. I'M WONDERING WHY? DO YOU HAVE TO ORDER LED TURN SIGNALS FOR THE TOYOTA COROLLA XSE?
Yes, it's a setting on the main menu. If you skip a track or change a radio station, it just quickly lights up on a small strip across the top of the screen
Wow I thought all turn signals are just regular bulbs, they don’t have that „led look” at first glance. Nice to know :) I have a question, when it’s dark outside and you unlock the car using your pilot (or keyeless entry) do the lights turn on as well? I’ve seen some videos on YT and they always stay off, but it seems like they have automatic lights option with dark sensors, so I really don’t know :(
Would have been so much nicer if the outer J light was a drl and not the headlight. I do not understand toyota’s reasoning of illuminating the J lights only at night. Also, inside the blue lighting is far too bright and distracting. Red or the old fashioned greenish color would be better
DonnyFrusciante III it may be because the seats are all the way back, but yea generally for some odd reason the corolla hatchbacks always have less legroom
@@darailcruise847 I own one of these and I'm 6'5". There is NO WAY anyone is sitting behind me. My wife is 5'6", someone about her height has no issue sitting behind her with the front seat about halfway up. This car is fine for shorter people. Definitely not if everyone is tall..
I’m going from a 2003 Corolla s to a 2021 Corolla xse hatch manual. I’m so excited.
When you’re driving around town at night and you see oncoming cars, and one car has the brightest low beams and it’s a friggen Corolla lol
.....it's 2019. LED lighting isn't expensive anymore..
Yep Toyota has the brightest headlights and DRLs
Absolutely love the 'Light' series...

I love these lighting videos! Keep up the good work man!!!!!!
How do you turn on the fog lights
I think I love this car even more now
Thanks, I just ordered my 2020 Corolla hatchback XSE and was wondering about the lighting!
What’s it like 2 years later?
You do a great job. Straight forward and cover every detail, never get bored watching your videos.
Crazy a 25k corolla has all led, but a 60k f150 doesn’t lol 🤦♂️
So I have the SE model, 19k. Same all LED setup standard..
Because it’s a stupid pick up truck. Who cares. Unless you want to annoy everyone else on the road.

Love the blue ambient sightings and the LED lights outside.
The background theme music is so relaxing 😌 💤🥇
I love the beginning music! 😍 i went from a 2015 Corolla S to a 2019 Camry XSE V6 Two-Tone thanks to your video about it 😎
Ethan Hutsell what an upgrade! BTW How is the performance?

Those LEDS are nice all around ...
Amazing video, very informative :) have subscribed
Thank you. Not being able to turn the lights completely off at night is a dealbreaker for me, and I could not find that information anywhere online

it’s beautiful 😍🥺
Does the hatchback have the adaptive headlights? AKA the headlights that move the way you turn?
Next car no doubt
Mike thanx for doing this, for me lighting is very important for me. Thanx for sharing and have a wonderful day.
Great video love this car
Amazing that you get full exterior LEDs on a Corolla. The hatch looks really nice at night with the lights on.

Can you turn the infotainment screen off or dim it?
Great Video!!! I just got my one and uploaded it on my YT Channel
It's beautiful at night but those DRLs need to brighter for DAY time use too.
I really wish they put led license plate ugh I have the SE version hahah

Thank you.
I have my mind on it nice car l like the 6 speed manual
I have the 2019 camry se. I dont understand why it didnt get foglights like its previous years.
dang the beam looks super narrow too bad you cant upgrade them

No I drive a Challenger
THIS TOYOTA COROLLA HAS FOG LIGHTS. IN ANOTHER VIDEO THEY SAID THE NEW TOYOTA COROLLAS DON'T HAVE FOG LIGHTS.
The Corolla hatchback gets fog lights in the xse trim
LED everything but the license plate bulbs are disgusting
Who is the manufacturer of the led headlights?
Toyota.. They are stock lights.
Since when does Toyota make light bulbs?
Master Wrong a lot of brands and newer aftermarket headlight manufacturers use Phillips newest LED diode chips in their lights.
