    Just giving this another watch, going have a dabble myself this winter..
    I've got a idea for a interesting series.. catch the A-team from 7 lakes In aldermaston. Lake 6 and 7 hold some nice fish

    Hi another great video shame you blanked but hey if you had been sat at home there was no chance of catching big red! See you out in rain again lol but luckily it was at night! Lol when i see small fish on surface like that it's usually because there are perch around and they come up like that to escape being eaten! Maybe wrong but that's my thoughts! Looking forward to your next visit!😊

    • @southcoastangler
      @southcoastangler  Год назад +1

      I thought the same Dave but i was under the impression there was no perch in there! Turns out there is more than that in there! You will see in the next episode! ;)

    Sat on little hayes watching your video, great fun as always...... I'm on willowbank next month, you're right swim 10 down the far end can be a great swim if the winds pushing that way....... I once got told big red usually comes out from the old pellet feeder in peg 9...... not sure how true that is though😂😂

    Fished Willow with Ian Russell for total carp feature in December 2021. Only bites came from within a foot of far bank - two foot off and nothing. Also worth considering a washing line rig on there.

      i've been told by plenty of people who were using boats and deepers that there is a ledge tight on the far bank and if your not on it then bites are few and far between! In my next willow bank episode i learn a lot!

    Another nice video. Try and add rock salt to your mix. Carp are saline creatures and they’ll need to get their levels up after their winter slumber.

    Where the little fish are has no correlation to where the carp are, they have there own shoals and have there own behaviour patterns 👍

    Been a long winter but keep up the vids! Using a good quality bait just got to find what works on the day👍 little advice with the stiff hinge’s put a curve in the Fluro will help with the turning and hook catching hold great vid though

      yeah i do make sure i put a bend in it before it goes out mate! My spring has been really good and i got some bangers coming out in the next few weeks!

    Little fish jumping probably due to pike action - pike will be either spawning or shoaling up for it.

    • @southcoastangler
      @southcoastangler  Год назад

      The small fish weren’t being chased though.. and I’m pretty sure there isn’t any pike in there 🤔

    1 ft zigs can be a deadly tactic up Todber mate also try and put a curve in your stiff link for the hinges. Jim Shelley is an avid user of that rig alongside the chod and he’s put lots of videos out that explain the importance of the curve. Be lucky bud

    • @southcoastangler
      @southcoastangler  Год назад

      yeah mate i do put a curve in it - i think it didnt come accross that way in the video.. thanks mate appreciate the support!
