The three strand braid can be done on any number of spokes, however depending on the number of spokes it will look different. Information on how to better understand the three strand braid with different spoke numbers is in my Braid Obsession pattern, I will attach the link at the end of my reply. Does it matter how many spokes you have? Are there special instructions for "stepping up"?
