They didn’t go to Corey’s funeral. Did not contribute to it. They haven’t watched the video. They’ve continuously bad mouthed Corey’s mother. Referred to Corey as IT. Watched over Corey’s homework but couldn’t tell you what grade Corey was actually in.
Didn’t want Christopher to move out because Corey would be unprotected.
“Grandfather” is ex police they know of Christopher’s extensive criminal record for violence. His history of drug use. Stop making excuses for this monster. A beautiful six year old boy has been killed by his hands. I hope he gets life and meets a bigger bully than him in prison

I agree with what you say, apparently it was the go fund me appeal that paid for his funeral and Chris parents didn’t pay for it or towards it ( in fairness maybe they offered but it was refused I don’t know?), buts that’s my understanding of it.
It’s not easy for them I’m sure as I truly believe they know that Chris did this and I felt that the mother in particular was lying in court, at the end of the day a little boy their grandchild died, not of natural causes that would be hard enough to deal with but by homicide, he was murdered, he had multiple injuries all over his little body!!!.

Both of the defendant's parents testified last Friday they saw Corey's injuries when they went shopping to buy a house for the defendant. Not this crap they discussed it ovet dinner. The looked at two houses and Corey was running around, very excited. He made NO mention of talking to the defendant while they were driving. Both he and the defendant's mother claim this witness asked her, while she was on the phone with the defendant shortly after Corey died, if the police had been called. He then took the phone away from her and called the police because the defendant didn't have anyone with him. Like cops are emotional support puppies, or something.
Fun fact: the defendant actually was recorded trying to tell the mother how she should testify. This was told to the court today.

The grandfather does seem very upset and emotional too me. People really shouldn't bash the parents as they are not the one who killed Corey. There son did. I never understand why people attack families of the person that did a crime etc.

Of course he's sad and emotional: his son is going to prison and he, being in law enforcement, knows what happens to child killers in prison. But as for Corey: I don't see any feelings for Corey from the grandfather there. I see nothing.

I believe both parents have watched the horrific video but in an effort to protect their son, have chosen to state they haven't watched it.
Having had a career in law enforcement, the father knows much more about his son than he's admitted, like his son's arrests, drugs and that he had a son who he didnt want and brutally murdered. He's aware he fled with a new "romantic" interest, stopped and arrested in Tennessee. I'm relatively certain he knows his son will be found guilty and sentenced to prison for the rest of his life. He also knows that prisoners do not like child killers and the punishment he'll receive from them.
