Dear Kylie - seeing this video reminds me of the wonderful projects you have created over time which seems to fly by way too fast. Your channel is a treasure trove of inspiration and mixed media techniques. I love going back through your video playlists and rediscovering them again and again. Take all the time you need…and when you are here we will be right beside you! Until next time! 💖🙏🎨

What a lovely visit from a lovely friend. The birds in your opening and that gorgeous seashoe footage were a real treat. Loved hearing about all your ideas, and seeing your projects. I look forward to following you in any direction you travel. You are a gift! TFS. 🙏🥰

Kylie, I relate. I want to make so many things at once. But I've had complications since retiring. I miss the daily relationships with teens. And I've had chronic bronchitis since I caught it at school eight years ago. I have many unfinished projects too. I think I am discovering who I am now at this new juncture. I really appreciate your videos. Do what you can when you can. Hugs, sister

I agree with you we all tend to have many projects going. In words my mom would have used "to many sticks in the fire". I am guilty. When I reflected on what I have going on I realized that I move from projects to have a fresh start. Sometimes , I feel unhappy with results and not sure what to do to make it better. Thankfully with time I see something that reminds me of unfinished projects and I can see clearly what to do to finish them. ART takes time. Think of it as cheese. Some varieties need time to reach their desired flavors or think of it as bread. You mix it up and let it rest. Then you knead it and let it rest. Next you roll it and put it into a pan. ART IS NOT DIFFERENT. IT TAKES AS LONG AS LONG AS IT TAKES. ART is not a race or a competition. Hugs my friend.

Hi Kylie, such lovely makes and I love how your fabric bound journal turned out! It really makes you want to get your hands on it, lol! Thanks for the walk along the shore. We have a muddy coast along Texas, but it’s around 200 miles from me and environmental concerns keep me from wanting to add to my carbon footprint so it’s lovely to see yours. Tfs, hugs, Julie 🥰

I really enjoyed this video and that you shared your thoughts about having lots of projects going as a mixed media artist. I do think I like to limit big projects however I don't count the different art journals in that because each page comes to conclusion and they can be worked on for a long time, each having different moods and feels, depending on our day. Perhaps make a place where they can all stand up on your desk and you can pull them out when the mood strikes you. I made a collaged magazine file type box mine reside in. We tend to overwhelm and pressure ourselves as mixed media artists and we are not alone. You do what makes you happy! That's the goal. ❤ The tryptich of paintings are looking so good!

Love listening to your Vlog, Kylie. Hearing you reminisce about your many projects and your walk on the beach, is both comforting and inspiring - thanks for sharing with all of us. Your heart shaped stone made me smile. The colours of it reminded me of a dress coat my Mother wore when I was a small child. Funny how things like that can suddenly bring back a long lost memory. All the best to you, I love it when you post things for us to see. Blessings from Catherine in Sk Canada. xo.
