This helps with my vision sometimes, as my eyes get used to low contrast lighting when working on a computer for long and makes bright lights harder to see. After a few minutes of watching this in a dark room with my laptop brightness on full, it sort of restores my eyes and helps me see better in higher contrast lighting.

It's a normal reaction dumbass. The strobing lights overwhelm the senses that the eyes are sending to the brain. causing a uncomfortable feeling
