Literally the best thing that you can do is (and I know it ain’t exactly ‘fun’) but read the entirety of the Highway Code (it’s only a small book), and the Road Sign book too - if you’re feeling adventurous. This is because then you know exactly what you can and can’t do, and if some person tells you otherwise you just remark the Highway Code rule that entitles you to an park there, or do what you’re doing. I had to learn it inside out for a previous job and although I am no longer in that job, the knowledge I gained has been invaluable ever since. Keep your head up dude.
