- An Oklahoma Pattern pump jack and a W.C. Norris Underpull pump jack operated by rodlines from a Bandwheel Style Power in Southern Oklahoma. Bouncing rodlines crossing a creek.
Looks and sounds awesome. Pure countryside and forest atmosphere with the cows and the creek.
Interesting to see how the noisy, rattling rodlines straddle the creek and carve a groove in the wood support blocks. I've seen these jerkline oil pumps in operation in western Pennsylvania, western Ontario and central Illinois. Great video work and thanks for sharing!
Thanks. When I was a kid my Dad had some leases similar to this back in the 60's. I used to walk down the rod lines and oil each of the support blocks (doll heads as everyone called them). Enjoyed spending good times with him out in the oil field.

What an interesting piece of tech. Ca. 80 years of service and the wells still deliver oil.
You hear a similar sound to the sound of the steel rods in the video when cracks form under the blades of the ice skates during black ice skating.

Where in Ok are these pumps and wells? I'd really like to see them. I'll be in Ok at end of March.
@@joeandrews8842 They were located near Poolville Okla but unfortunately they have all been removed from service and replaced with electrics.

It pumps into a separator then to a storage tank where it gets trucked out of
Pipe that goes underground to a central tank, probably near the power house.
How much oil comes out per stroke? And do you have a video of it?

Pretty sure any reasonable person would have them fuckin 1 inch flow line rods tied off to one of them tree branches so it don’t sound like god damn Star Wars battle down in the river if not they were lazy lol
