  • In modern cosmology, computer simulations of the non-linear gravitational clustering and galaxy and large-scale structure formation are crucial for providing our understanding of the deeply nonlinear regime of cosmic velocity and density field evolution. However, the cosmological simulations are also very useful for studying alternative cosmologies, admitting to contraning model testing methods. But actually how such model testing and parameter constraint can be performed? In this lecture, I will show such a line of research picking-up for a test-case of alternative dark matter models. The aim will be to demonstrate and explain how one can use adequately designed simulations for such model and hypothesis testing in cosmology.
