Sooner or later it will happen to the other boots too. I have two pairs of Hunter men and the have small splits too and they are leaking. The quality is not as years before. If you have the opportunity to get some old Hunter "made by Gates" you will see a big difference in Quality and Comfort. These are sometimes availible ony in used condition on british ebay. It's a shame Hunter wanted to earn more Profit and started producing in China. That was the beginning of the downfall. Prices high , quality low!

Thank you so much for this feedback! I have been keeping an eye on all the boots to see when I will need to replace them. It's sad though because it is a high price to pay for them only to last a year or so. I will definitely check out the older editions.

I really like the short ones. The short ones were easier to get on and off, had many more colors on sale and they worked well for everyone in my family
