Hello, I have been trying to solve the problem just like you did but every time I run into a problem "floating point exception" I try to update the mesh reduce the time step size, and increase the iteration/time step but it remains the same. I use the 2022R2 student version. can you please tell me what's wrong with my method of solving it?
@@AnsysTutor thank you for your kind reply. Later I reduced the time step size a lot and increased the time steps. The solution is completed but the system is half full.
Thank you very much for sharing this tutorial video - it's very informative! However, I have followed the video step-by-step and when I run the calculation, the water does not move at all. Gravity is definitely enabled in the y direction and I'm really not so sure on where things could be going wrong. Thank you if you have the time to respond to my query!
Dear admin, Thanks a lot for all your tutorial videos. Btw, do you have any simulation tutorials of mixing ion-exchange resin (granular particles) and water in a vessel with air? like there are half water and half resin in a vessel, then we mix its with air (blow from the lower of the vessel)? Thank You, God Bless.
Hey sir, amazing! I have learned about the region-patching step. Now...According to your introductory objective, you said that the aim was to calculate the time taken to fill the second container... I did not see that. How can that be calculated? Zenkyu!😊
Yes you are right , but as per the coordinate system , the y is positive upward and negative downward. So for that reason only its denoted as negative, negative y means its acting downwards.
Named selections is for the full surface body, although it can be done for a partial surface but its a quite time taking. Adaptation option is less time taking , and appropriate for such problems.
Awesome Work, Thank You Very much!!
You are most welcome.
thank you so much teacher for the new information, really amazing 💐💐💐👍👍👍👏👏👏👌👌👌👌
Thank You:)))))

Try to reset the setup and try setup again as shown in the tutorial.

Are you getting any error message. Have you enabled the solution animation option.
great very helpfull
Thank You:)))

sorry, we dont have any tutorial on that. will try to make one. thank you.
Sir in my case patch option is off. I have done the same steps as you have.
Patch option turns on after you do the initialisation.
very helpful indeed
Thank you🙂🙂🙂
With the recent iris xe graphics with the 11th gen i5 16gb ram compatible and sufficient with ansys for medium 3d simulations?
Yes. Its more than what required.
@@AnsysTutor I mean the integrated graphic of 11th gen i5 processor is sufficient or dedicated is required?
@@AnsysTutor Have you tried to run ansys on 11th gen i5 laptop with integrated iris xe graphics ?
My colors on both the tanks are coming same .Dont know why . I have done the same steps as shown here.
You might have patched the region as shown .
WhY coupled method is used
Coupled method is generally recommended for multiphase models, for its accuracy of solving.
Which method is preferable for simple single phase flow problems
Hey sir, amazing! I have learned about the region-patching step.

Zenkyu!😊
Its the flow time, check the console space for this.
What is the standard of setting Time Step Size?
Didn't understand your query, would you please elaborate.
Why did you put gravity at y -9.81
the gravity acts in the negative y direction.
@@AnsysTutor but generally the gravity is positve when an object is falling down (pull)
Yes you are right , but as per the coordinate system , the y is positive upward and negative downward. So for that reason only its denoted as negative, negative y means its acting downwards.
man you can choose named selection for patch instead of mark adaption

May I know all the background music, it is somehow help me in my study 😅
These are free youtube audio tracks.
What is the purpose of adaptation??
It is used creates a region in the geometry. The region can then be used to assign a definite material or any specific thermal or flow behaviours.
@@AnsysTutor Thanks very much 👍
in design modeler u have not done fluid
It's not required to create fluid as its a two phase simulation, the fluid is created using the patching method.
inlet vent has no value specified
Inlet vent donot require any input.
