I do not know such a view, this is the first time I listen to something like that. ...
But you definetly should be angry at the words the Christian say about God and our Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.
Our scholars taught US to be respectful and invite them in dialogues and come to common terms as long as their do not disrespect our God and our Prophet s.a.w.
We must hate the idea of Christians that God has a Son or partners.
Sh. Ahmad Deedat said even the skies and Mountains Shake when they listen to the Blasphemie of the Christian and we Muslims who have a heart and claim to be believer do not feel upset? It does not make us angry at their words?
Our scholars said it is forbidden to hate the Person himself but you should hate their Actions and behaviours.
However, you made a good point in not judging a Person right away. We all know the history and how Allah t. Guided peoples heart to the right Path.
You only should hate the people Actions for Allah t. and his Messenger s.a.w. and not for your ownself.

Growing up as a kid, as a British Asian I can honestly say that my parents and religious relatives used to allows tell me not to hang around with white people (non-Muslims)! However, as an adult I have many non- Muslims friends!
Sometimes our elders can be bad influence for us!
Dont forget the hadith, you're on the religion of your friends. Im a revert I know what goes through the minds of non muslims towards Muslims, they will tug and pull at you till they get you to sin. Acquaintances maybe but close friends just dont.

لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له ،له الملك و له الحمد و هو على كل شيء قدير
Subhan Allah! May Allah protect us. Allah has ordered us to love for his sake and hate for his sake!
Of course you don't deal with people with bad manners, but that doesn't change the fact that Allah has ordered us to hate the disbelievers for their disbelief. He has on the other side made us brothers as Muslims.. so we should love our Muslim brother for his eman!
But to take the disbelievers as friends and love them and so? Thats totally not what Allah has ordered us to do.
In Surah muntahina Allah mentions:
"Indeed there has been an excellent example for you to follow in Ibrahim and those with him, when they said to their people (disbelievers): indeed we are free from you and that which you worship besides Allah! We have rejected you, and enmity and hatred has started between us and you until you worship Allah alone."
What this mean is that we should hate them for their kufr (disbelief) and shirk (polytheism). We should deal with them in a nice and good way in order to guide them to the truth. We shouldn't speak in a bad way or so.. but remember that we as Muslims are one nation. We love what Allah loves and we hate what Allah hates.
Hey dude, The verses are not saying their hearts are sealed. These interpretations are really weak.

Brother Essalamoo alaykoom Wa rahamatullahi Wa Barakatoo it is written if you hang with those who rejects Islam then disaster when it befalls them Allah Azzawajal will let it befall you. Also it is written that because of rank hatred they will try to turn you to their theme. And it is written not to sit with them when they reject Islam so may Allah Azzawajal guide you before you end up answering for guiding Muslims to do something that is not written for us to do. It's Masha Allah in Al Quran
Huh i dont understand. No we dont hate the people because they are our brothers n sisters in humanity but,we do hate their beliefs. How can a muslim not hate shirk? If it angers allah then it should anger us shouldnt it?
you still didn't get the point. Shirk angers Allah but his anger shouldn't translate to our anger. Look at our Prophet pbuh he was as a mercy to mankind. He was told to be merciful to every human being including christians and jews hence we have to follow our prophet's example. God's anger is something else. You have to understand that.

I have many friends that arent muslim, and they respect me for who i am vice versa, Its for the sake of unity and understanding towards one another, but i also want them to believe in Allah SWT with me One day, Insha Allah May Allah Guide them All, because I love them and May Allah Guide them with Love as well Amin Ya Rabbal Alaminnn :').

You make a great point. "They take Allah's authority in the Quran and make it their authority." I do not know how many times I grappled with this notion. Obviously I did something that was not confronted the way it should have been or else I have yet to fully embrace the word of God as it applies to my own thinking. This kind of error points to a false notion of self. Oh how difficult it is when it compounds. It is so simple? Stop believing psychological misrepresentation is somehow handed down to us and sympathy awaits our error. That is the seed of non-belief.

Is what he is saying in accordance with walaa' and baraa'? Shouldn't we love and hate for the sake of Allah? Aren't the enemies of Allah our enemies and the friends of Allah our friends?
Da'wah is the legacy of our Prophet (SAW). So why is it being discouraged to preach to non-Muslims? Surely this is an obligation upon us?
I love lectures by brother Nouman Ali Khan, may Allah reward him generously for all he has done for our ummah. But this lecture has left me confused. :/
belikova01 i think the lecturer is with regards to current state of affairs of the muslim ummah, and mankind in general. try equating both and Insha Allah you'll understand.
I think he makes a great point. it's about respecting mankind no matter what their region. You may hate the actions of a person and even the beliefs of person, but how can you hate a person who you don't know and who's never done anything to you. Allah, knows best and if we show kindness Insha'allah their hearts will be opened. When I was a child I wasn't even allowed to use the word "hate". I find that some people are extra and dramatic. If I sense characteristics of hate even in fellow Muslims, I remove from that association.
But that's because you are generalising non-muslims with the enemies of islam, not every disbeliever is against us, the enemies of islam are the people who devise conspiracies against us, who try to harm us in any given way possible, those are the enemies of islam, A general homosexual man or adultery commiting women or a drunk who have nothing against us is not our enemy

Mashallah... Humanity restored. Finally someone speaking/understanding my personal opinion in humanity.
When the shiekh says "when Allah swt is angry at a group of people we shouldn't be" well if he's talking about the Jews, and we shouldn't hate the Jews just because Allah has cursed them in the Quran...hes wrong. The first aya of surah al mumtahanah Allah swt says "oh you who believe! do not take my enemies and your enemies as your friends,would you offer them love while they deny what has come to you as truth?"
Just because you dont take them as friends [allies, protectors, people to depend on], it doesnt mean you have to go to the opposite extreme of hating them. The world is not binary/ black and white.
so if you hate them ( the jews , christians ) whom will you preach islam to ? :D

You make dua'a, pray, seek forgiveness, and repent. And inshallah you will be brought back to the straight path. Allah is all - merciful subhanallah.

What does he mean don't hate the people that Allah condemned. Yes you should hate the ones Allah has condemned. For example Allah condemns the hypocrites,abu lahab, people of sodomy, people of ad, thamud and the folk of phaoroh. Is he trying to say as Muslims we shouldn't hate what and who Allah hates?
We should disagree with them but we should not show hate (Y)
You have no authority to hate others, only Allah have, and it is throughout Quran. Because only god know what inside their heart.
