This was our last stop on NCL Gem. A great spot to spend the day. It reminded me of doing Resort for a Day. We will be going back to see Part 2 next year.

thank you for your quick reply. i went to a mexico all inclusive and only ate cooked foods and bottled beverages. on the last day before we left we went in to the town to shop and went to a small restaurant.stupid me tries to "eat healthy" and orders a salad. i got so sick when we went back to the resort.i was worried about flying home the next day. luckily i brought immodium so we made it home safely. note to your followers.no ice in drinks.only bottle products and bring immodium.
I am headed there next month...can't wait! Your video made up our decision as to what we will do while there. Tour the town then hang out at Taino Bay.

Yes…it’s one of the only port shopping areas that really had a resort feel to it. It’s a great concept that I hope catches on.

Glad you liked it! The restaurant we went to served bottled water by default, so we didn’t test it. By default, I don’t trust any island water 😀.

It is pronounced Ta-EE-no Bay. Taíno is the native American of Hispaniola and other hispanic islands

Absolutely! That will be our adventure the next time we go.
It's a short walk to the main square, church, and amber museum. There were costumed dancers in the square.
How much did it cost to see the monkeys?
I believe it was 25 for adults and 14 for kids…but I my memory may me a little fuzzy :).
