I know this post is 10 years old but a New-Old-Stock FireBall II is an extremely rare, hard to find item in 2020. I have 5 of them in my collection in like-new condition but it's been YEARS since I've seen a New-Old-Stock model. I have four halogen rotating versions and one strobe version and the halogen rotating version is among my favorite model dash light ever made. I used numerous FireBall II lights extensively throughout the 80's and early 90's in several different patrol vehicles until they were eventually replaced by the 'FB3' FireBeam model. I recall not liking the FireBeam at first but quickly came to appreciate it after realizing they were even brighter than my old FireBall II's, and the mirror attachment provided even greater flash output. I had 3 FireBall II's, all with mirrors, in my patrol vehicle. One on the dash and two mounted upside down hanging from the ceiling in the rear window. Those two FireBall II lights in the back window with mirrors put out as much light as the JetSonic lightbars our marked units were equipped with at the time. If you saw the lights on my vehicle from behind it looked as if I had a full size external lightbar. The FireBall II was a VERY effective emergency lighting system back in the day. Their only drawback was the high amount of heat they generated, which was the downside of all halogen dash lights at the time... that and their high amperage draw. A single FireBall II drew nearly four and a half amps for just ONE bulb and the motor. That came to a tad over 13 amps draw for the three of them in my vehicle! This is where LED lighting really has an advantage today... :>\ Sorry for the long post but from someone who used these lights rather extensively back in the day, I can personally attest the FireBall II was one hell of a dash light.
@@randyevans5699 Thank you for this magnificent testimony concerning the FBII. It is true that it is an extraordinary product. This one is still in my collection with its mirror set and I think it will stay there for a long time.
I want to buy 1,2 or more FBII in amber or blue, and I prefer new but used is like too.
