Man you're just the king of euc reviews, I've learned a lot from you and all my wheel picks have been pretty straight forward with confidence after watching your review, the only thing holding me back from getting the Sherman is the pedal Deeping I keep hearing about /: I guess I'll just wait for Gotway's reply to the Sherman and then make my decision, I'm all about speed! Keep it up Marty!!
The pedal dipping is ONLY bothersome during slower speed high banked turns (like making a 180 to turn around. It's not an issue at all while cruising. The production units are supposed to be a bit better in this regards. It's really a minor annoyance.
You know your going slow when a bicycle passes you. That was funny. Awesome range test Marty. Waiting patiently for my sherman. Think I'm going for the street tire.
Hell, the durability of Marty is just as impressive as the Sherman's! 93.5 miles?! the range on that Tank for a single ride is VERY impressive even at speeds of 25 to 30 MPH apparently. Great review sir 👌🏽🤙🏽🙌🏾👍🏽Overheat Hill - was it one of YOUR wheels that gave it that name or one of your riding buddies wheels? 🤔
I'm now watching you on my new 50" VISIO TV smart screen that's on the wall only 3' in front of me and above my computer table. Watching you this way feels like I'm riding while facing backwards on the wheel in front of you. The visual sensation is amazing, especially with the surround sound turned on. I got the "Cast function" working just before starting this video. Don't fall now, or I'll probably hit the floor when you do.

I have had 7 heart surgeries, 2 metal knee replacements, survived cancer twice, and I run on batteries myself now, since getting a pacemaker installed last Fall. The desire is there, but I'm all too aware of how fragile what's left of my body is to be doing things like this now. @14:03 could it be that the wheel was beeping due to minor changes in acceleration maybe? Or change in load? Which is why it seemed random? Great range great range test
I was very skeptical because of the weight. You say goodbye to Gotway, it's a clear opinion that convinces me. When I see your protections: you're ready for Halloween. Inmotion V10: almost 4000 miles on the odometer for 18 months. I just have a pair of gloves and no electrical failure. @@ElectricUnicycles I'm working on it, my second session i did 10 miles in the parking lot. Once it clicked and i got it i didn't want to stop. Noticed i can push though the muscle cramps and they usually go away.
Other than range, what benefits do you see the Sherman hold over the MSP? We know the MSP has the available high speed motor from ewheels capable of reaching 45. Is the Sherman really worth it, range aside? Thanks Marty! Can't wait to hear your thoughts
More continuous power than the MSP, much better balanced, and much more stable. Barely perceptible voltage drop when pushing the wheel hard (i.e., safer under load).
@@ElectricUnicycles yup I was thinking the same. I've got lake effect snow to deal with in Rochester NY and that aggressive knobby will come in handy. I'm kinda shocked how well it performs on pavement...
I saw on one of the other reviews that the beeping kicks in when the battery is on 20% power remaining. Quite annoying... Wonder if it can be turned off?
If you actually watch this video you can see that is not true. The Sherman is the least intrusive wheel (in terms of low battery beeping) than any other wheel currently made. No wheel beeps at 20% None. Most start beeping at between 10 and 15 percent, but only if you exceed the speed for a particular battery percentage.
When the beeps started I used a stopwatch and it seemed to go off consistently every 30 seconds, except every 4 or 5 it comes at about 11 seconds, but it still continues to maintain the 30 second beep.
Yes, at the very end I did determine that when it's steady, it's every 30-seconds. That's a nice relief from the continuous beep out of the Gotway wheels.
@@ElectricUnicycles Seems like they knew they didn't need to hand hold you every 5 seconds. Even the fact that it levels out without having to power cycle suggests they know you're like going to do that just to squeeze every possible inch out if it.
Great vid. Just wondering if the extra range and weight is needed though. Would anyone frequently go 85 miles, 4 hours continuously in one ride? Might drive a car or motorbike for that distance. Look forward to the next vids.
The wheel gives you options. I don't know if you ride a wheel or not, but we often experience "range anxiety", worrying whether we'll have enough battery to make it to our destination. This is no longer a concern. My next video will show how I climb a 5000-foot mountain road fast, like on a motorcycle. Could never do that before.
I’ve been waiting on your range test. Nice job. Great video! Do you think the Veteran would have clocked in a few more miles if it was fitted with a more street style tire?
het Marty , will the batteries charge to 100 be affected by running the batteries down to such a low percent not to mention the batteries performance ?
Not from my experience. You must remember that even though the battery percentage may be reported as close to zero the actual cell voltage is still relatively high.
The first day's half-way point appears to have involved some climbing up to that waterfall. Assuming that's the case, what would you estimate the range to be on more-or-less level ground the whole ride?

Yes, I think so. Everything is pretty dynamic when the battery is so low.
