Clip from last episode of season 3. Bonnie is mad at Violet for not applying for jobs and being wasted. As always this is for entertainment purposes only. Show:Mom Producer: Chuck Lorre
Had the show continued and had Christy not left the series, I can imagine that there would’ve been a storyline where Christy gets a job as a lawyer and her own place and finally has a stable life. Eventually, Violet comes back into her life as if she wants to reconcile but it turns out that she’s in legal trouble and just wants Christy to bail her out again. Christy would be torn between helping her or staying out of it because she feels if she does help, Violet will never learn from her mistakes. Bonnie manages to get through to Violet and she finally decides to take responsibility.
Violet is a liar and a gas lighter. Watch the series. She blames everyone but doesn’t take ownership of the chaos ahead has created. Props to Christy and Bonnie.
Imma be honest, while I took Don't like violet as a character, she is actually a good representation of children growing up with addict parents. Despite growing with and seeing the negative effects of drugs and alcohol on people, there is a cognitive dissonance that they know it's bad bad but are more likely to repeat the same destructive behavior. Even violet blaming Chrissy for everything, including her own bad decisions is accurate , as the parent become the beacon of blame for everything. There is a lot of fascinating, and sad material on why children of addicts often continue the cycle. Hell, we see it with Christy and Bonnie We follow Chrissy from bad to good and see and understand her position, so we give her more of the benefit of the doubt while cheering her on, but violet will always see the parent that has disappointed her in childhood and becomes the easy target to project everything that is bad is Christy fault. This is something that violet learned growing up, with not taking self accountability ironically because she saw Chrissy never did when violet was a kid. Again, even with the writing kicking in to tilt the reality like the podcast ep, violet is a pretty decent example of a child of an addict repeating the same mistakes.
@sigma1328 This is so accurate, I used to be best friends with someone who had an addict mother and she did a lot of what you mentioned. As a result everyone left her and when I confronted her about it all she did was verbally assault me and the final straw was when she resorted to slapping me when I wouldn't fall for her bs anymore. After that, I told her to her face "Congratulations, you're officially your mother's daughter" and left her. Last thing I ever said to her. Don't know where she is now but I stopped caring
How is a child supposed to be when having to raise an alcoholic parent? The only way for her to learn accountability is from therapy . 😂 people really don’t know how a child shouldn’t have to grow up to raise their parents..
Exactly. She blames Christy for all of her problems, even long after Christy got her life together and started taking care of her, but then wants nothing to do with Christy because she can't blame her bad choices on her anymore. I get that child abuse affects you even as an adult (dealing with that myself) but at some point, you need to start taking it upon yourself to heal and stop blaming your bad choices on your parents. Violet drives me crazy.
Y'ALL KNOW MISS BONNIE PLUNKETT DON'T PLAYYYYYYY😭😭😭😭🤚🏿I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS PART FOREVERRRRRR AHHAHAHHHHHAHAHAHAH I'M CRACKING UP RIGHT NOWWWW😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 WHY IS BONNIE SO FUNNYYYYYYY I CAN’T BREATHE 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿😭😭😭😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😂😭😂😭😂😂😂😂😂😂😂0:23 (0:35 when she said “SHUT UP!” like that) my girl allison janney is so funny hahahahhhh😂😂😂😂😂😂 it was about time Bonnie held Violet accountable for her behavior along with Christy doing that 😂 Christy isn’t the only one
Long ago, I was living in Jefferson City. I moved in with my sister who was also in AA (I was in NA) . At times, I had to react towards my nephews the same way Bonnie reacts with Violet in order for them to understand, and btw it's not fun. It's actually heartbreaking to give a tween or teen that explosive "wake up" talking to, or take the heat from the passive aggressive second wife. My sister and I were in the same boat as Bonnie and Christy for 6 years. That's why I love this show so much. And I'm proud to say that we're both sober!
That's wonderful! Great for both of you! And don't worry about your nieces, that advice is hard to give but it does help in the long run. I give myself talks like that all the time
More grandmothers should feel free to be like that. I have neighbours with a grandson who sounds much the same. He comes over every now and then and just dumps himself for an indefinite period of time.
Mom rage is bad. But when you screw up so much GRANDMA is pissed at you, you better be a fast runner cause she's coming for ya and she ain't stopping

She probably got it from her dad considering he abused Christy, it must run in his bloodline.

Bonnie: you’re life is falling apart cause you’re stupid!!!
Hmm 🤔, good strategy
Well it’s true 😂
I’ll remember that phrase, when someone plays the my life is falling apart card. Lol
Especially if their behavior was willful and stupid.
Violet was hands the absolute worst character
Demon child!!!!
"Get back in there!" - Bonnie
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Violet-yes grandma sorry grandma 1:06
Not bad. But if I were Bonnie, I’d tell Violet *”SHUT THE F@CK UP!”*
Bonnie rage can be so extreme at times when she gets pushed to far at times ❤
This is one of my favorite scenes hands down... Especially when Christie puts her finger to her temple and says "ow"
Bonnie always said she wanted to make up for how she failed back in the day, wishes can come true I guess.
Bonnie-No more blaming Christy for your life falling apart Violet 0:43

it was about time Bonnie held Violet accountable for her behavior along with Christy doing that 😂 Christy isn’t the only one
episode is Atticus Finch and the Downtrodden.
you’re welcome.

I don't care how far along I get my adulthood whenever my mother steps in and steps up for me when I need it and makes me so very happy
I don’t remember this show. The acting and timing is amazing! Naturals!
0:23 0.25=Drunk Bonnie fed up with Drunk Violet
Violet is a loser
0:23 When Bonnie is pissed off, look out. 😏
That’s awesome! Sometimes tough love is just someone telling the truth.
Man, is this satisfying😁
❤ was there a main reason Bonnie felt a whole lot of extreme rage at violet just asking
Because Violet’s a brat, who plays the victim and gaslights people into feeling sorry for her so she gets her way.
Violet wasn't just asking. She was laying around, doing nothing, smoking pot..
Christy was a crappy mother to Violet growing up, and Bonnie was a crappy mother to Christy growing up. They don’t really have room to talk.
@@deadoralivefan12at least Christy doesn’t lay around being a mooch
@@kittynorville9125 no. Instead, at Violet’s age, she was an alcoholic, gambling addicted stripper.
Bonnie get back in there 1:06
THE BEST SHOW EVER ❤
Violet was horrible she never took responsibility for anything just blamed her mother and used men to get what she wanted
Bonnie's reaction was out of control!😅😅😅😅😅
One of the best things I have seen in life, were times my grandma would defend my mom. Even as a little girl, I found it so adorable!
More grandmothers should feel free to be like that. I have neighbours with a grandson who sounds much the same. He comes over every now and then and just dumps himself for an indefinite period of time.
The fact that I’m on the next episode from that
🤣👏🏼🤣👏🏼🤣👏🏼🤣👏🏼🤣👏🏼
Good on ya Bonnie!
What episode and season
Season 3 episode 22 Atticus Finch and the Downtrodden
“Because your stupid!” Lol I felt that sadly cx
