One thing you have to consider Lark, is the reason it has taken "years" is because Cardano is trying to solve REALLY hard problems and STILL be decentralized at the end of it all. Liquid staking for example, Cardano is the only project in the top 10 with real liquid staking. Cardano is also one of the most decentralized chains, while Solana is far more cententralized. There are also scaling solutions that are being worked on right now like input endorsers among other things that will make Cardano one of the fastest L1 chains with the highest throughput while not sacrificng decentralization as other blockchain do.
Crypto....as we have all see with meme coins - that are useless....its ALL about narrative.....and cardono has ZERO narrative or hype...it could be the best thing in the world...BUT NO ONE CARES.....so it will go nowhere..do you really want to risk an entire bull run? it "may" do a 3 or 5X... AT BEST..hold a bag in case...but money is best somewhere else...

You didn't mention that SOL requires a coordinated restart about twice a month while Cardano just stays up. :D
Do we really want to call SOL a crypto if it can't stay up? ... not yet -- seems like SOL is just a pumpers favorite toy so far.
Of course Cardano is still a good “coin” it has become solidified as a blue chip project haters will hate though
ADA is a solid investment, it won’t 30X, but it will give a solid 10X when the “actual” alt season starts. Slow and steady wins the race, and Cardano is doing things the right way. Where do you think people will go when SOL get shut down or wallets drained again? They’ll go into Cardano.
Last cycle it did 100X. From .03 to $3

I don’t understand the ada hate, Cardano is the epitome of why crypto was made. Truly decentralized, scalable, and secure. Give it time and invest in multiple chains, I got a bag of Manta, matic and cardano. Also some rwa plays less go. 🚀
If I had to choose, I would put my money on Cardano. I hear Solana ecosystem goes dark once a month. VC s own most Solana tokens.

TPS is a bad metric. Cardano batches it's transactions. So a single transaction can include hundreds of individual transactions. So Cardano is actually faster than SOL. And Hydra heads are also a big player in this.
Sure, one of slowest transfers I experienced in crypto... Sure it's fast if you use your dellusion mixed with imagination.

I hold ADA, and it is one of my favorite projects - but even I wouldn't say Cardano is faster than SOL.
If you use Solana and Cardano, you know what your saying is false.
Not talking the absence of usage on Cardano. As today, Cardano just can't have has much transactions than Solana, or it will be dead/locked trying to process everything in the queues.
For hydra, it's just another layer 2. It don't play Cardano today throughput, since nobody uses that layer 2. An equivalent of Matic but for Cardano.
And btw, all chains block include multiple individual transactions. Bitcoin network first. That's not a specification unique of Cardano.
I hold ADA, that's not a valid reason to say random false things on the protocol.

I have been told not to be fooled, stocks and etfs are not the economy, I had 180k put aside waiting for the feds to stop raising rates, now I’m ready to get back in the market, but it looks like the pause is forever and Faang will still rise/fall, I’m confused, what could be the way moving forward
The stocks will go down further, and good luck on the feds pausing rate hikes with all the hawkishness that has failed to keep up with inflation
If unemployment is able to remain steady while the fed hikes and inflation falls back to target a soft landing might be on the table
Don’t expect a soft landing, we know inflation is still far from it’s 2% destination -the FOMC didn’t reduce rates yet, we can never foretell their moves these days
Fixed income Tbills and bonds may work for you while you try to figure out the next entry point for stocks

Lark clearly doesnt understand ADA's TVL (re liquid staking), nor does he comprehend it's TPS (i.e. ADA bundles loads of transactions into each transaction on the network). If he wants to stick with SOL, a VC pumped network that is down regularly, good luck to him.

Have a look at the EDI index, ADA beats everything, chang hardfork, input endorsers, zk rollups, true liquid staking, network never went down, and we can go on and on. You really are something Lark.

The metric for TPS is different for Cardano as it bundles things in a single transaction, so that metric is comparing apples to oranges when comparing these chains.
I have cardano. Like cardano love the liquid staking. I have SOL too. So I mean I’m covered either way I like both we don’t have to be fan of only one blockchain.
Me too. I just wish that daddy Charles didn't have so much disdain for my wish for the number to go up. I get it that all the cool tech is going to do all this good and so on, but I'm starting to wonder if the money I paid for my coins is to be considered a donation for the cause or an investment. Maybe some deference should be paid to attracting developers and users and SELLING the project!
Cardano is still undervalued, more useful & advanced than Bitcoin & Ethereum. And Solana is barely a blockchain. I predict Solana will be the one to crash and burn at the end of this cycle, just like Luna did, VC funded hyped by influencers chain which is fondamentally flawed, shady & broken

People usually use partial facts to support their view. "Took years to offer staking". But Lark didn't mention that Cardano was the forerunner in proof of stake and had it years before Eth...
And what are the benefits of a locked market supply over one that can be manipulated? Fiat currencies can also be manipulated. Eth can be manipulated.
Charles and Vitalik disagreed... but what did they disagree on? They disagreed because Vitalik wanted to roll back the block chain and Charles wanted it to be decentralized.
Also, Charles nor any official channel has said Cardano is an Eth Killer. That's a label that others put on it. Charles' view is that there is room for many blockchains with different strengths and innovations. He's building what he believes in. He's not building for hype cycles. He doesn't need more money. He's said several times that he'll support Cardano with his own money to see it successful. If you want to invest for profit, maybe Cardano is not the right choice in the short term. If you want to invest in projects that you believe in, consider Cardano.
First off, Cardano needs more liquidity. USDC or USDT is a big need. Second, Cardano is not a Solana casino, and I hope it never becomes one. There really are so many great things about ADA. Everyone do some research on it. Thanks for not bashing ADA Lark, I know X has had some negative things said

TVL is not that relevant I think. If the Cardano Foundation locked up all of their coins, ADA would have one of the highest TVL on the market. Solana VC's have locked up their SOL, which constitutes 40% of the total coins in circulation. See the difference?

Well Lark is not wrong about many things, specially when it comes to price action it is really underperforming a lot compared to other top 20 crypto. People just refuse to hear the truth. And by the way unfortunately ADA is by far my biggest bag, saying this i am slowly selling for other crypto like HBAR and Render.
Lark, please read this. in 2019-2020 there were two blockchains that vastly outperformed ADA. EOS and Stellar. They are "gone" now. You're comparing the best performing crypto SOL to ADA, in a halving year. We don't know where things will go in 2025. Last winter DOGE and ETH lagged like hell, while others pumped and now they're better off.
Thanks for covering Cardano! I'm not worried about the metrics. Just compare it to every other UTxO Smart Contract chain and it'll make sense 😉

the problem is that it has already been a long time, and most other cryptos have outperformed ADA, so if you held a bag...well, you've already lost out on other gains.

In May 2020, ADA was around #15. There was no hype at that point either, early in the halving year of 2020.

Cardano is an amazing PROJECT with great staff (well, arguably, as there are shady darkness on some names), but thinking practical, it's really nothing more than that - the challenge with Cardano is to see their promise live and fully operational, time will tell.
But comparing with Solana is odd, as Solana is shady in different way... to compare as a 'slow and safe progress' (as you describe), that would be NEO... with the difference that NEO is fully operational and evolving.
That all said, yes, good point, seems like Cardano is being over-hyped for what they actually delivered.

TVL is not a good indicator when ADA have liquid staking. It is not counted in TVL.

Thank you for making a Cardano video Lark. TPS can’t be measured the same with UTXO model. The Chang hard fork is about to make Cardano fully decentralized. Midnight will be a major Cardano side chain launching this year also which will connect/onboard web2. TVL with liquid staking isn’t measured the same Cardano v eth. If you use the same way to measure each you’ll see Cardano is a very close second to eth overall in TVL. Price go up seems to be your top focus and I don’t blame you investors put that first, give it time Lark, you’ll see that too. Great video again, we need more influencers like you making honest videos about Cardano

Hey Lark...You forgot to touch upon the governance i think. (sorry, flicked through the video). We are looking to soon create contemporary governance meetups in a very large number of cities worldwide which will hopefully culminate in the signing of the constitution later this year in Buenas Aires. As far as sexy marketing and promotion is concerned, it is around the corner as well. In the end, since you like to use Solana as an example, do you think any government or huge corporation would choose steady and secure Cardano, or Solana, that breaks whenever, and at time just will not allow you to send a transaction? In conclusion: comparing blockchains like Cardano and Solana is a bit like comparing apples and pears and there is likely place for both of them in the blockchain fruit market, for different reasons. Want to make a quick buck? Cardano is admittedly probably not your best bet. Want to invest in something solid with the potential to become the Google or Apple of blockchains, your vote will have to be for Cardano.

Cardano's TPS may seem small, but only because we're comparing apples to oranges here. Cardano uses an eUTXO model, which is capable of carrying thousands of different tokens, NFTs, etc. within a single transaction. It also has Bitcoin's security as it's a derivative of the UTXO model that Bitcoin uses.
Also, because of Cardano's liquid staking, the staked ADA is not being attributed to its TVL. Again, apples to oranges here.
Cardano just operates differently.
Sure buddy... No one cares about TVL it's useless FOMO statistic.
The US or any other government cannot ban crypto currency simply because they are global but can be traded or exchanged with other private citizens regardless and even if they try to ban it and are somewhat effective, the ban will be short lived because you cant stop human nature to profit from trade. Citizens will eventually want it overwhelmingly and will impose its use at some point.

Solving hard problems is the reason crypto exists. Chains that are not decentralised have no use outside of gambling. Which is fine. But that is all. Over time it will become clear who the truly disruptive winner was.
As soon as ADA hits $1 I’m going to sell 90% of my bag. It will net me astronomical returns and I’ll keep that 10% incase it moons for some reason. Investing needs to be emotionless.
Big part of my portfolio is ADA, but... Let's be honest. If with all these good news ADA is so low, imagine what will happen if developers get tired and we have less good news? Yes, I am afraid even to imagine. Going to zero (or below 10 cents) in no time. 🙄
