I don't know who taught him how to do brakes but that ain't the right way you don't have to take the big bracket off unless you replace the rotor, just take the caliper off and take the slab pins out grease them up then put the brake pads back in put grease on the end of those then slide the caliper back over the top put the two screws back in the slide pin bolts and that's it now if you take it off the rotor but then you going to have to take off that big caliper bracket but you can just take the caliper off by itself without taking that big caliper bracket off the way he's doing it that's too much work thank you
2010 or later model buick lacrosse torque specs. for the brake caliper bolts and brake caliper guide pins 111 for the bolts and 20 for the guide pins foot pounds.
@@BuckeyeBallistics no problem. 😉👍 After I got that tiny little star bolt out that sucker (the old rotor that I was beating on before this. LoL!) came right off. Ugh! Durr4me! LoL! That was smooth, thanks again. You helped me out a lot. Toddly ☘️ P.s. - Those keepers were kind of a pain to get them to stay in place too. Js. 🤔😁 But eventually I got them and the pads aligned and in place.
I clicked on this to find out how to take the rotor off, I wouldn't of clicked on this if it just said replace front brake pads. Check your title before you post it.
They are TTY bolts. Must use new bolts. Torque to 111ftvlbs, then using torque angle gauge turn bolt 45 degrees then another 15 degress. Do thisxin 2 steps, do not simpmy turn 60 degreed
thats the easiest oil change ever..filter down low 6 inch from the drain plug. I remember the ecotec used to have a plastic cup on the top, was a pain in the ass bmw wanna be bullshit thingy lol nice vid!
The bracket that holds the caliper on... yes those torque to yield but not the caliper bolts are not.... But you realize that's a hybrid it totally different
DO NOT PUSH THE OLD BREAK FLUID BACK INTO THE ABS MODULE OR ON A CAR THAT DOES NOT HAVE ABS BACK INTO THE MASTER CYLINDER. This will push the old break fluid that is acidic into an area that will destroy seals and cause you to have to replace expensive parts that you don't need to replace. It's best to open the bleeder screw and pump the old fluid out. Then refill the master cylinder reservoir back up.
You either since you need a video to change brakes and then still complain there wasn't enough info... Oh and btw youtube is my day job, so I won't quit! 😁 That backfired on yah didn't it smart ass?
I have a 2014 version v6 and Haynes still don’t have a manual for this
I see they have a 05-13 Lacrosse manual- everything should still be the same for your 2014...
Could you please explain how to drain and refill atf for 2015 lacrosse

Lug nuts are 110 lbs torque to yield.
Posting says pads and Rotors what happened to the video for rotors

Torque to yield means?????
It means the bolt stretches when it is torqued, and thus shouldn't be re-used because they change shape after 1 use.
Good video thanks for the info! Thought it was kind of funny though that you used a spark plugs socket to get the bolt off 😂
First thing I can find that works lol.
Thanks for the help.
Have a Merry CHRISTmas and a Happy New Year.
Thanks, you too.

To anyone who is doing rotors take the screw out on the bottom

Then you didn't pay attention to the video because I went over how to remove the rotor...

Lol yeah I changed the oil on a Colbalt once and I was like what the crap is this dumb plastic thingy.
Man I have got to get me a torque wrench 🔧
OMG. NIGHTMARISH that the dealer gave you that response.
'Nightmarish' is going on and on about torque to yield for five minutes straight.
The bracket that holds the caliper on... yes those torque to yield but not the caliper bolts are not....

That's not a hybrid
Can you do a video for the rear brakes and rotors?
Sorry I can't because I didn't own this car.
@@BuckeyeBallistics oh ok...
Did you break your screwdriver? 😁
