I am looking into trying out muzzle loaders….. primers seem like the entered a worm hole never to be seen again!!! Chatted with a grey hair man yesterday and said flintlock would be the way to go for now…. Will you be posting anything on flintlocks???
I have quite a few videos on my northwest trade gun as well as the other video you commented on. Flintlocks have a lot of things to consider. Caps can be an issue now, but there should be a bunch of them coming out soon. There is a run being made now. You can also get musket caps with consistency. All you need is a new nipple and you are good to go on long arms. I think if you start with flintlocks you may be setting yourself up for a tough time, and flints are hard to come by as well.
