Another great video, both relaxing and educational. I also become amazed everytime i watch a video like this because how the roads and streets look. Japan is so beautiful and tidy. I hope i can finally move there one day.
I guess we also have a lot of proverbs in English that we use without even thinking about them. Things like "It's no use crying over spilled milk" (牛乳をこぼしても泣かないで) meaning that if you make a mistake you should just clean it up and move forward rather than dwelling on it

In the relationship between people of different countries the knowledge of the other's culture is important. I remember the first time I went to Japan with my wife, I was so disappointed when we went visit her friends and they didn't let us enter their houses!. In Italy, if you go visit a friend or a relative, they let you enter the house, have a sit, and they make a coffee for you.

一番好きなのは「蓼食う虫も好き好き」ということわざだけど、良く使われるかどうか分からない…
「二階から目薬」という表現もちょう面白いイメージをするんですよね。

「蓼(たで)食う虫も好き好き」← これはちょっと面白いです。日本人なら聞いたことがあるけど でもよく使われるとは言えないですね。それなら四字熟語で「十人十色(じゅうにんといろ)」の方が 日常会話でよく使われます。

Yes. They use difficult Japanese. Even we Japanese don't understand the meaning of some proverbs just by hearing them.
