Also notice that most, if not all, of the wayside signals have been bagged over. No longer in service, probably will be removed in the near future, if not already done.
@@70humdinger94 There is no reason to remove the wayside signals because if they need to disable CBTC then thay can unwrap the wayside signals and use them while CBTC is disabled.
It's garbage.... Human beings can haul @ss on the express also. But NYC Transit purposely makes sure the trains run slower when humans are operating. I can't wait to see others so happy when every job on the USA is automated! Hmmmm who's going to ride the trains when it when those same people ain't got no jobs or get a pay cut cause they are only doing part of the job. I can see robot police in the future smh. LOL
@@silverskyscraper1179 I never looked at it that way before. There's definitely NO argument here 'cause that's exactly where the future is headed🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Silver Skyscraper Humans can’t haul ass on the express. They will end up accidentally letting go of the throttle and all of the sudden the speedy train ride comes to an end.
I got an idea 💡! (7) Train is Coming Soon. 22nd Street Chelsea Yards West Side 14th Street West Chelsea End Christopher Street Canal Street And Brookfield Place. In 2021!
ATPM is for manual driving if something goes wrong or if ATO hasn't been installed. ATO is 90 percent automatic as the driver only needs to press the start button and operate doors.
7501-7928-7510 was running the day I took this but was either not running in ATPM or had problems with ATPM which caused it to run at a much slower speed. There is a clip I have which I cut short since it was coming in too slow and I deemed it was pointless to include it in this video.
Honestly express will do go 40 MPH but that mean that the train has to be separated apart from far away Which more likely be express train every 5 minutes or 7 minutes
Nice to see the 7 train go down the slope into Queensboro Plaza fast or at least much faster. Nice vid

Woah! Never heard of this! Cool video!
Excellent video!
Running the subways like a railroad, about time
The flushing line is similar to the Victoria line on the London underground
I didn’t even know about this program to be honest.
Me neither
AJ same
Agreed
Indeed
Plus it sounds different!(How do you know if its operating in automatic safety mode?)
What’s the highest speed on the 7 express with cbtc turned on now?
Probably above 40 MPH
50 mph on the Flushing direction, I’m not sure on the 34th Street direction.
@@KhasemJohnson still 50 mph in the 34 street bound track

Nice vid you should do the L and the 7 subway train
Ever since CBTC was finally installed, 7 trains can finally learn how to properly haul @$$ on the express.

4:06 why does the Old Train signals covered in bags?? Please let me know
They are covered because they're not in use anymore. But when the time comes where they need to disable CBTC, they will reuse those signals.
They could be used again if CBTC is deactivated and means that they aren't in use
Cool video but what is automated train protection 😎🚊🗽👍
Reva Schuller basically something that allows the train to go at maximum speed but without going over the limit
It means that the train will be driven by it self with no conductor
Kevin Bravo The Conductor does not drive the train. The train operator does.
Interesting 👍
Did this start happening in August like the description says when you recorded it? Or earlier?
BenTheMiner - Transit & Games CBTC started recently on the 7, the Automatic Train Protection started on 7 line in August
Yes. Queens was activated in the summer.
Alright.
That's the purple rocket 7 train

Okay, I See The Future.
Or maybe extend the 7 to Seacacus Junction, New Jersey.
@@Maunico0809 the subway will probably be railroad if that happens because the train will be going from state to another state.
@@Maunico0809 that needs to happen ASAP and not just to Secaucus but also extended further into Hoboken too.
Wished that happened on the (L) but great ulpload
The L also has CBTC it was the first .
@@danielribeiro2113 Ik but I'm not talking about that
The (L) has the same system but now has ATO enabled as well. When trains are in manual, they operate in ATPM just like the trains here.

@@britishenough7690 That's actually really cool.
Is it just me or is their no driver driving the train???
The driver is there as a safety measure. I think all he/she does is press a button to start the train once the doors have been closed and locked.
How do you know its running in that mode? What clues tell you that?
Flashing green signals and much faster speeds in areas which were previously quite slow.
Thank you
